I decided to preorder this just to be safe, now I never preorder but I want this on launch day.  Now I've never really had a problem picking up a game on launch day and I dont think I'm going to have any real problems with DAO but I could not preorder from EB games the collectors edition. This really really irked me, especially since I only got strait answers from 2 of the 5 I went to. Is this happening outside of my bubble of existance as well, or does EB games just hate me?

Gamestop/EB ran out of CE pre-orders a long while ago.

EB stores as well as Gamestop ( I believe they are one now) stopped doing the preorder months ago, due to the quota being matched or above for the Collector's Edition of Dragon Age:Origins.

As far as I know, the Collector's Edition is pretty much sold out everywhere. You could get lucky and find a copy somewhere though.

Yeah, the CE edition is sold out.... go and preorder the regular version and you will have no problems

No. You get actual tangible items with the CE. For the DDE, in place of the tangible items, you get the Warden's Keep DLC for free.

Thats usually the point. Collectors Edition is synonomous with Limited Edition.

If you personally have the ability to download the cloth map through the your ISP, Yes.   Otherwise what you get is 1 and 0's with the digital version (keyword is digital

Seriously. You try to pre-order the CE less than a week before release? This may fly in some cases, but overall, this isn't really a good measurement over how "amazingly popular" a game is. It's the goddamn collector's edition. They vanish like hot butter on a warm summer's day.
