Thanks to gamers like you, Dragon Age II is off to a great start – breaking the 1 million mark in less than two weeks and faster than Dragon Age: Origins. We appreciate your support. As a special thank you for helping with the game’s early success, BioWare would like to present you with a download code for 2010’s Game of the Year, Mass Effect 2 on PC.

As always, we sincerely appreciate your support and passion as we remain focused on delivering quality interactive experiences now and in the future.  Look for more exciting things coming from Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Star Wars: The Old Republic in the future, including our recent launch of Mass Effect 2 Arrival DLC.

To qualify and get your Mass Effect 2 PC download code, please follow these steps before April 30, 2011 at 11:59pm PDT:
  • Activate the Online Pass content that came with your copy of Dragon Age II (The Black Emporium)
  • Start the game and log in using your EA Account or create a new EA Account
  • Visit http://social.bioware.com/me2offer and log in with that EA Account
  • Enter your Online Pass code and click “Submit”.  You will then be provided the code for Mass Effect 2.
  • Open the EA Download Manager and enter the code to commence download (if you don’t have the EA Download Manager installed, it can be found HERE)
For more information on this and answers to any frequently asked questions, please visit THIS WEBPAGE :)

Just a thought, but how about a download code for The Arrival on ME2 for those of us who have already purchased both games. I get wanting to attract more fans to ME2, what with the Arrival just released and the impending release of ME3 and think it's a cool idea, but how about something for your already established fan base. It wouldn't be the first time a company gave a way a free DLC to it's loyal fans.

That's a good bundle/deal. But how does it reward the loyal fans?

I haven't gotten the Arrival yet. A promo for that would be pretty helpful.

*Enthusiastic* *Looks at other posts* Yeah I'm feeling some sort of regret as well. These codes aren't account linked right? I can just give the code to someone?

So you are rewarding the fans with a game they most likely have?

You know what CD project did.
Gave us the EE version of the game for free.

SOmek ind of free DLC, free content or any thing would be better.

What happens for those of us who bought the 360 version of Dragon Age 2? The online pass code we got was for the xbox marketplace rather than your site, thus the website doesn't seem to want to accept it.

Seems to me, as a loyal fan who owns me2 already, your duty is to give it to someone who does not. So that they too can take part in a decent game rather than rely on you to push da2.

Out of curiosity, what do those of us with ME2 for the PC do with the code? Can we gift it to someone other than ourselves?

Well even though I've had ME2 for ages now, its pretty nifty that you're not just giving it away to new sales past this point, but previous as well. Very cool.

Guys, guys. I'm as disappointed in DA2 as the rest, but come on. Complaining about them giving something free to everyone that bought the game is a bit much.

Can I ask why the offer only concerns the PC version of ME2? I don't play PC games and seeing as how the PS3 version of ME2 is downloadable on the PS Store, it would have been possible to give the PS3 version for free as well.

*sigh* I might go ahead and just download the game on PC even though I don't have a strong enough PC to play it just in case I upgrade my computer later on and want to play the three ME games on PC (because ME1 isn't available on PS3).

First of all, congratulations Bioware!!:D

Second, is there no special thank (read: download) for the owners of Xbox360 or PS3? :(

Just curious...

I'm thinking everyone here already has a "2" next to their name, meaning they have it already! I wish I could give mine away to a friend

Dam you, headed off my criticism by making it backward compatible with already purchased games... I can't have a go at you now because those who bought it aren't being ripped off even if paid for it on release day. Though what I will say is it would have been alot better is the version you download was available for the system you own not just PC.

It would of been neat if the code was redeemable for any version of ME2. That way I could sucker my sister into playing it on the 360. Already own it on the PC.

We get the PC version too.

Unfortunately I already own ME2 on the PC, but I appreciate the gesture. B)
