This, and this is for people that don't.  My [extra-dimensional supernatural superior being], it's FREE, why must you complain?  I took advantage of this as I have ME2 for the Xbox but not for PC and if I'm ever traveling I can have the BioWare love right there! ^^

Or those who have a bandwidth cap.

Yeah, it sucks when you have to share a 100GB cap/month with 5 other users in the house

To Bioware/EA: Please snailmail me my free ME2. Digital Downloads are not an option for me.

I'm rather surprised by all the people complaining about being given a "gift." Even if they already have a copy. Don't you guys have friends you can give it to? Why so salty?

I think it's pretty cool. It makes me think back to how game developers used to be. When I was just a brat, I'd gotten a copy of Robin Hood: Conquests of the Longbow --- an old Sierra adventure game. Well, the game had its share of bugs and we sent a complaint to Sierra. What'd they do? They sent us a free copy of King's Quest V for our troubles.

I don't even really have many qualms with DA2 and I get a free copy of ME2 to gift away to a friend? Thanks!

Although I do not have the feeling this is "rewarding" Bioware's most loyal fans.
I think the idea is good for Bioware fans that can share a "free" ME2 copy with a friend who otherwise would have never bought it, to try it out.

In my personal opinion it would be nice if the most loyal bioware fans would also get something out of it ( some kind of special item for DA2 or ME2 or a Free DLC? Bioware points?)

Since like many stated before me the most loyal bioware fans already own ME2 for either PC/Xbox360/PS3.

i wish they come out with some more dlc soon for da2 or should i say the giant add on instead of giveing out something everyone has allready wich is nice if u dont have it by now and bragging about how good 2 is so i can attempt to finish my 2nd play through cause i just went replayed dao and both mass effects over and still havent felt the urge to finish my 2nd play through on da2 cause there realy isnt much left to go back to once u beat it once cause u unlock like 90% of the the achivements on the 1st playthrough and there realy isnt any diffrent paths to chose from that effect anything to major or diffrent start points to start from and etc., sorry my night shift job has turned me in to an ass, think its the lack of sleep or something

Yes, it's free to download the PC version of ME2 for all DA2 users (PC, 360, or PS3) who registered their Online Pass (Black Emporium and Hound).

I want a physical copy not a digital download. Bandwidth limit constraints.

This DL is a minimal cost to EA/BW (since no physical media, only support for an existing title) and they're doing it in the hopes that folks who don't already have it will buy the DLC and ME3. Folks who do already have it who give the code to a friend might cause the friend to buy DLC and ME3, etc.

I already owned it on my old forum account, so I DL'd this just to log in once and get the N7 armor pack for my DAL character...since I'm playing much more DAL than DA2 due to flaws about which I've whined elsewhere.

 no idea if this question's been covered.  i looked and cant find it, so i'll ask.

i purchased my copy of DA2 on steam, am i still able to get the free copy of ME2?  i tried entering the Entitlement Key that came with the game but it doesn't seem to work for much beyond the Black Emporium content.  


EDIT:i take it back.  did more poking around and seem to have found a solution for it.   some days it pays off to act like a dog with a bone.
