Where is the redeem code option? I already have my code I just need a place to enter it and start down load of ME2

Download and install the EA Download Manager from the EA store. Once installed load it up, then click on the cog button on the upper right corner. One of the options there is 'redeem code'.

Mephisto, thanks I didn't know about the cog, however when I entered the code for ME2 it says its already been used. Do you think someone could have hacked it off my bioware profile?

*Ahem* Wrong member there :P

I wouldn't think so. If in doubt check with the support people from the EA store. Also bare in mind that it can take a while for the code and download to be available - off the top of my head it said it could be 72 hours depending in demand. The link to the support site is in the same menu as the redeem code link.

You... you are... devious, Bioware! I am about 10 hours into Mass Effect 2 (with some initial difficulty getting used to the controls) and... I quite like it! O_o I never considered the Mass Effect series before now...

Thanks!

Pisst...try the original Mass Effect as well - you can continue playing with the same Shepard in ME2 if you finish the game in ME1, and you get a couple of extra moments ;)

<---may hate self slightly for advertising Bioware games for them.

Or use the masseffectsaves site and just download an already completed file if you're lazy like me.

Hey guys, since I already own Mass Effect 2 for the PC, the code is useless for me, but according tosome earlier posts, I can give the code to someone else that doesn't have it. So I'm giving my ME2 free copy to someone in my family. It's asking for a product code however according to his end, what do I tell him to do?

Am I only person who thinks this is a blatantly obvious and laughable attempt by Bioware/EA to bolster flagging sales and shift units?

Based on DAO's sales they estimated a 20% increase on that for DA2; if that is what they thought (rightly or wrongly) then they had to have had a lot of extra units manufactured which are likely now sitting in warehouses or on shelves collecting dust given that DA2's sales (which was initially higher due to blind preordering) come no where near DAO's as of yet (DAO having solder well over 3 million copies worldwide and DA2 barely scraping past 1 million) they have to have a coupla million copies of the game sitting about not selling.

It makes me laugh.

No you are not.

However as I noted before ME2 is a lot cheaper to buy new than DA2. Therefore anyone who has neither is more likely to buy ME2 on its own as being cheaper - plus shops are not advertising the current deal.

I'd like to know this too, I already have ME2 for the 360, and my laptop would burst into flames if I tried running ME2 on it, so I fancy gifting my copy to a friend I'd like to get into Bioware stuff.

See, posts like this display a lack of grace and good manners, and is just a lack of gratitude.  (I'm NOT targeting this poster, but posts of this type in general.)

Bioware offers us something for free, and we whine.

Sad, people.  So un-classy.

Can't you be grateful you got a free game?

Exactly, and what's free for you doesn't mean that it's useless.  I was able to give my copy to my cousin, and now he has Mass Effect 2.

Good to know im not the only one who found this amusing.

Ogrepuppy; hate to say it but that post just then you totally come off as a silly fanboy.

Finding this offer ridiculous and self defeating does not mean you are rude; or lack manners. Its actually really rude of you to say that as you seem to be operating under the belief that we should be grateful for whatever crap Bioware foist off on us and never express any sort of dissent.
That is a stupid attitude to take; and Bioware themselves have said its not an attitude they like or want to have in their fan community. They like the sometimes too brutal honesty of their fanbase.

And as to what Sunac said specifically; its fairly clear that he was JOKING. Having a laugh. Being facetious. Not being serious.
You might say you werent targetting him for criticism but you clearly were. Its like saying to someone "Not trying to be rude but..." and then proceeding to say something rude and offensive and acting like saying ur not trying to be rude excuses it. Laughable.

Honestly next time think before you jump down someones throat for having a different opinion than you.
