A nice gesture from Bioware, even for those of us who play Dragon Age because we dislike the style of ME2.

I won't be taking them up on this, but thanks for the thought. :)

I can appreciate people who already own ME2 on PC getting frustrated by this, as they get nothing. I'm lucky in that I'd been wanting to pick up a copy of PC ME2 for a while now. So, I'm grateful, but there are going to be a lot of people out there feeling shafted.

Of course, you have to see the irony of feeling shafted for missing out on something that's free. Considering all the "Bioware don't appreciate their fans" feelings murking the place, you've got to expect that people are going to take this "loyal fans" thing badly. I'm wagering on a new set of sig banners.

Well, I WAS waiting for an ultimate edition or GOTY, but yay me ME2. Thank you for making this for all purchases, not just future purchases.

Waaaaaah! Thanks Bioware! Well done on topping 1 million sales!
(I've actually not played ME2 so this is quite a treat!)

Although I preordered both games and don't regret paying full price, I honestly would say getting ME2 with a purchase of DA2 is a better deal than the Signature Edition content. Meh. Oh well. I guess the lesson is to not jump on the bandwagon early...

This offer is open to all people who buy a new copy of Dragon Age II (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360), not just Dragon Age II PC users. It is for a free PC copy of Mass Effect 2, but it is available to ALL Dragon Age II customers. :)

Ninja'd. Nevermind then.

Well, I suppose Dragon Age II isn't selling comparatively as poorly as some would like everyone to believe....

Actually can someone tell me how much data I'll be downloading. I have a download limit so I'll need to move the tower somewhere else to take advantage of this :P

Wow. Free stuff. It may not be Dragon Age 2 Enhanced Edition I was wishing for but hey, like I said, free stuff! ME2 no less! Wooh!

How about actually rewarding your loyal player base and fixing this hideous game, please?

I think you misunderstand what's happening. Everyone who has a copy of DA2 is getting a copy of ME2. Doesn't matter if you already own DA2 or if you're buying it tomorrow.

First of all, congratulations Bioware!!:D

Second, is there no special thank (read: download) for the owners of Xbox360 or PS3? :(

Just curious...

We get the PC version too.

Unfortunately I already own ME2 on the PC, but I appreciate the gesture. B)

I don't want to come across as being ungrateful, but if what you are saying is true, than it doesn't make me very happy...I only play on my ps3. My laptop can't handle the requirements needed to play this game (and don't even like playing on a pc)

Can I delete EADM after installing Mass Effect 2 and still play the game, or is tied to EADM like Steam games?

No Cerberus network though. Hmm. This should tide me over until the packaged deal is announced for the PC.

Good deal. People should have nothing to complain about. Even if you already own ME 2, you haven't actually lost anything by others being given it for free.

Thanks Bioware, though I already have ME 2, this might be part of the first step back into the goodbooks of many of your disillusioned fans.

The FAQ for the ME2Offer doesn't answer the obvious question, which has also been asked in this very thread (and still not answered), "I already own ME2. Can I gift the free game code to a friend?"

@Barryl89: My ME2 install is just under 20 GB with all the DLCs. The wiki says 15 GB for a clean install.

It's big. Steam shows it as a 11.4gb game, but my actual ME2 folder is almost 17gb. The difference might be DLCs though.
