This offer is open to all people who buy a new copy of Dragon Age II (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360), not just Dragon Age II PC users. It is for a free PC copy of Mass Effect 2, but it is available to ALL Dragon Age II customers.
Is this available to people that preordered DA2? If so - does it work for Steam users?

Good deal. People should have nothing to complain about. Even if you already own ME 2, you haven't actually lost anything by others being given it for free.
Thanks Bioware, though I already have ME 2, this might be part of the first step back into the goodbooks of many of your disillusioned fans.
I think people who can't benefit from the offer because they don't play on PC have the right to feel that it is a bit unfair. Us who can't play ME2 on the PC are getting nothing even though we bought DAII new (especially since a digital version exists for the PS3, not sure about 360).
So it's like, thanks but there's a reason I bought DAII for my PS3 - it's because I play my games on it!
Absolutely ridiculous.
The most you should feel really is apathy. You haven't received or lost anything, and your situation hasn't changed at all since yesterday before this giveaway was announced.
You only feel that it is "unfair" because other people are being given a free game and you are not. The mere knowledge of someone elses situation doesn't change your own, and since you never actually paid for the benefit you are not entitled to expect it just because others have been given it.
Anyway, I also have absolutely no use for this giveaway either, but I recognise the benefit for others in it and I am happy for them and don't feel that it is at all "unfair."

You know this is rather clever in a cruel economic sense. No matter who it is who ends up receiving these copies chances are a percentage will at least buy the Cerberus Network. There are certainly some souls out there who would get a game free then pay the purchase price in DLC. In the words of Athenril, because I love her smooth line delivery: "Good job [Bioware]."
Exactly my thoughts, just the DLC's now cost more than the game.

The FAQ for the ME2Offer doesn't answer the obvious question, which has also been asked in this very thread (and still not answered), "I already own ME2. Can I gift the free game code to a friend?"

Definitely concur with you Ronin. I am not happy about DA2 and the direction, blah blah blah. BUT I do appreciate that Bioware is doing something nice for their fans. And I own ME2 Collectors edition for the PC.
Nice to know you are thinking of us, and I'm happy some folks who never tried ME2 can try the game!

THIS.
Unless you get the Cerberus Network code as well, which judging by the posts you don't, this isn't a free copy. More like 75% of the game and the rest of the free DLC people got is now DLC.
So not only do I already have the code, anyone I give it too will have to pay nearly the same amount I did for my retail copy over a year ago for the same amount of content I have now. As the Code for Cerberus Network is still 1200 BW Points.

Yes, I believe I saw it listed when I put my code into the EA store. It comes up asking which language version you want.thesinned wrote...
Can we download a different than English version of ME2 if it is available at the EA Store? Say, a Polish one?

Question. I bought ME2 for PS3 ages ago and came with Cerberus Code (registered it in game), now I since sold my copy ages ago I assume that I can neither find out what my code was or even use it on the PC version?
I think the codes for ps3 don't translate over to the PC. They have different sets of codes for each platform.

I noticed that I had the option for several different language versions, and I believe polish was among them.
