Nimrodell, don't you guys have access to Steam over your place? I understand money constrains, but if you can hook on the internet, you should be able to easily get the game.

Steam isn't an option for some due to monthly bandwidth limitations, and huge sized files.

Not everyone has a good ISP.

I was trully curious about it. Spain has a craptastic bandwith and Steam works, slowly but works. I have no idea about Serbia, hence the question.

To my knowdlege, they don't have easy access to credit cards in Serbia. It's much harder to get one , and Steam requires it.

Then there is a question of monetary convertion, Serbia is not in EU ,not sure how fair exchange rate is.

No offence, but posts like this are just as bad as the negative end spectrum

I feel like I have to wash the rainbows out of my mouth and kick the leperchauns trying to hug my legs.

You couldn't come up with a better way to reward your loyal fans? I guess you don't want to give away DLC's, or any new content.

Yeah, giving away a GOTY that's still selling incredibly well. The AUDACITY!

That was my inner fangirl speaking, what can I say?

I try to keep her quiet but she just won't shut up.

@Bioware; Seriously, is there any realistic chance that those of us who have both games already - having bought ME2 when it came out - might be able to get something else? I understand it wouldn't be another new(ish) game (and I suspect that older titles may not run on modern PC's) or a brand-spanking new DLC such as Arrival. But something we might not already have for ME2 maybe?

EA/bioware throwing us a bone? Wasn't expecting that...
I own Mass Effect 2 on Steam, can this code be given to a friend? I know someone who will be happy to have it.

It is always nice to get something for free. But please make no mistake that this is a marketing device. The function of this is to: 1) quiet people down and 2) generate additional sales.
I do this at my place of business if I have a customer that is especially unruly. Nothing makes someone happier then getting something for free.

I received an email (as I'm sure many have) about this event and I noticed the email mentioned how DA2 reached the one million sales milestone faster than DAO. An interesting inclusion pregnant with implications.

And no, I do not fault a company for adopting a new strategy. They are paying attention to the market.

It can. My sister is using mine as we speak (Er, type) and she's utterly thrilled. :o

Yup, they've posted elsewhere that its okay to give it away.
You just need to go to the site with your DAII code and get the ME2 code.  You can then pass the ME2 code to anyone you wish.

Does this mean that we'll get ME3 free if we buy DA3?

The problem is you cannot let the player decide what they want because they will all want different things, this as a marketing strategy while odd specifically being so soon after release of DA2 in fact is a good thing because its backwards compatible not just new purchases. The fact I think it's more for new purchasers as an incentive is the bigger picture. The rest who (don't) have a copy of ME2 have been allowed to recieve it on the PC but it's still free.

Tbh I can't see any logical reason to give people free reign over what they want free from the whole library of Bioware titles, this is mainly for to push new sales with the added benefit for those who haven't experienced ME series. If you have the ME series already you may not have gained something but you certainly have not lost anything either.

Thanks for the extra copy of ME2 BW/EA. Going to pass it off to a friend since I already own it. I muchly appreciate the gesture of your giving DA2 owners a fantastic free game.

I must add that I was playing on the literal interpretation of "cutting something out", though. As if he wanted me to surgically remove the insults from my body.

I have mass effect 2 for the xbox 360 with all the dlc, minus arrival. Would i have to buy the cerberus network code/dlc again to be able to play it on the PC? Or would it recognize that i've already have cerberus network?

An update for my situation. I just got off the phone with a EA support member and he was able to add the cerberus network code for PC to my account.

Thanks, Bioware! That was unexpected and I really appreciate the gesture.

Although a BW fan I played the more classical RPG until now and so don't have played ME2 until now. But I got curious about it lately and now I will gratefully "give it a shot"  ;-))

Yes. You can give "your" code to a friend and then they follow the redemption process. :)

Interesting I might give this a try because I have registered my 360 copy of ME2 already with cerberus on EA site so I wonder if I can transfer it to PC too.
