So. That's basically Mass Effect 2 for 10 bucks (Black Emporium code).

Cool.

Cool.

But it comes without any DLC. You have to pay extra for the Cerberus network and all associated DLC like Zaeed or Hammerhead. So buying a new copy in retail might still be cheaper.

I think it means GOTY as in... title, award, not as in all-dlc-included edition.

Okay, I'm a bit confused.  Bought DA2 new, husband used online pass code for his account, I purchased mine from XBOX Live.  How do I get ME2 without the actual code?

The FAQ on the site clearly mentions that the Cerberus Network will not be included and has to be purchased separately. So no it is not the Goty edition and more like a  digital second hand copy.

Though I expect the ME2 ultimate edition will be in stores this summer.

lol, paying back the DA community with ME2?? Image IPB

This promotion just sounds weird to me, in light of what I read in the DA forums, that's all.

No, but I've been reading a lot of negativity for DA2 for whatever reason... I played the demo and had fun with that, so I don't have a totally informed view of things.

I thought that, too.  It's been selling poorly on PC.  Smells like desperation.

I like how many people say "Hey, BioWare's giving us free stuff? It must be because DAII sucked! Screw you! I don't want your FREE GAME!" Society is on the decline.

Okay, Bioware/EA are giving away free stuff. But instead of being happy about it everyone jumps to the worst conclusion?

Well that's one way to boost DA2 sales.

Given the sales figures that are floating around, it's plausible that the game is under-performing, and it's plausible that  this is a marketing gimmick.

And have free promo for ME3. And maybe even sell some more overpriced DLC for ME2.

This was planned before DA2 was shipped, so I doubt that below expectation sales of DA2 are the reason for this promotion.

And since I fully expect that there will be a Goty edition of ME2 (including all DLC) soon after this promotion ends, now is the last chance to earn some money with the ME2 DLC.

Oh, I'm sure it's not a marketing gimmick at all. I'm sure that BioWare wouldn't stoop so low as to market their games.

I am being sarcastic. My tag dictates that I add that disclaimer.

So I have me2 for the 360 with lots of dlc, any way to carry that over to the pc version?

Fiddling around with your save file so you have the same decisions you made in ME. Otherwise no.
