I personally find DA2 much better then DA:O. Granted DA:O has things that DA2 doesn't but the fast pass of the DA2 game makes it a bit more appealing rather then some of the slow fights in DA:O. Just my opinion.

What Im wondering is if people who use the DA2 -> ME2 promo will be able to get the cerberus pack.
It's not included with the download. You'd have to buy it seperately.

I thought that, too. It's been selling poorly on PC. Smells like desperation.
The event is (in part) because we reached 1 Million sales faster than Dragon Age Origins.
How is that desperate?

Drop-off, brah. Also, no Cerberus Network code, included? Selling Snake Oil, too?

Anyone heard of anyway to make dlc purchases work across platforms? The only things listed for PC/Mac for registered game content are all the Dr. Pepper visors, Blood Dragon Armor, Terminus armor, and oddly collectors edition armor (even though that was from the Xbox purchase).
Also i think this promotion is great, even though it seems like a scheme to get PC users to install EA's download client, and yeah once all the DLC is purchased for new players it basically adds up to a $40 game, same price as the Ultimate edition will likely be in a few months. But again, excitied to play it on PC, I played the demo off steam and it looked way better than on the Xbox.

But besides that quality assurance / technical fumble of massive proportions, the game is fantastic. The majority of the cynical negative putdown hater crowd just didn't give the game a chance, or they are those who hate it compared to Dragon Age Origins. Let me tell you I played through all of Origins again + all the expansions prior to starting up Dragon Age II, and DA2 is wayyyyy better.
The "hardcore" RPG forum hobos who put DAO on this pedestal probably havent played it since they beat it, or at least not since the last DLC in October. They don't see the night and day differences that me and other players do going straight from Origins into DA2.
Sound track is better and more varied, enviorments and especially effects are much better, class balance is real now stead of mages just dominating, skill trees are actual trees and not straight lines through abilities you dont want, supporting party members are awesome and more varied, combat is WAYYYY better, I prefer the stripping down of gear ala Mass Effect 2, and I like the enemies spawning mid fight it just works and I would rather have long drawn out battles then dreading to turn every corner and fighting a new pack of enemies and figruing out how to get to that mage in the back, which is what DAO turned into.
Besides game breaking bugs, DA2 runs like an absolute dog turd on top of the line PC's using Nvidia cards (I hear ATI gets better framerates). I can crank much more intense games at max settings, but as soon as I go from High to Very High video with everything turned on, the gameworld strats to go jaggy and black, and the framerate just makes it unplayable. First game to do this to my system and while I think its gorgeous, it really shouldn't be this resource intensive.
Only other minor quibbles is reusing the same dungeons again and again, could have made at least 4 more (another mine, another evil dungeon, a forest, and another dwarven thaig). That and I don't mind characters being bi-sexual or even homosexual, it just seems really odd that they are ALL potential love interests for both Male and Female Hawke. Besides Varric (and maybe sebastian doesnt go for guys, I never saw the option) every other party member is ready to enter into a steady stream of sexual innuendo despite your characters sex. I think this is just too open, and hurts the integrities of the supporting characters. I can see it for Isabela, and Fenris cause I guess all elves are a little gay, but it just seems unnatural for everyone else to be Bi (ok I did always have suspicions about Anders in Awakenings).
Imagine if everyone love interest in ME2 went both ways? It changes the core of the characters, Tali would lose that reserved aspect of her character, Miranda same thing, and Garrus would be ruined lol.
Once again, all for a rainbow of character relationships in DA2 and all future Bioware games with relationship dynamics (seems like all of them, but hell you guys created it, I still miss Viconia) but making every party member swing both ways just seems to lessen the strength of their characters and make them more into a cipher for what you as a player want them to be, or something.

It's good to see that demand has brought the PC game price down from it's original inflated price as well.

Sorry, but this stinks of "DA2 was a massive failure and the fans are saying as much, so here's something to coax you into getting our failgame"
You only have to go to the DA2 forums to see how utterly pissed off the fanbase is for the most part. And yet since its release there hasn't been one apology or admission from any devs at all. On the contrary, Mike "Ruined Dragon Age" Laidlaw has been answering interview questions and continuously defending what DA2 did and basically saying it's a Holy Grail of RPGs and that the fans are wrong to think otherwise.
You've changed BioWare, and not for the better. I can see exactly why Brent Knowles left the team right at the start of DA2's development.

You are obvious hater who cant do anything but complaining. Bioware did everything right, more than we could have hoped for.Terror_K wrote...
Yes... you reached 1 million sales faster than DA:O... mostly because of DA:O. Since then the sales have been plummeting. If it really was for that reason, you would have released this "celebration reward" back when you actually hit the million in the first week or so, rather than now.
