One question mate. Just installed the game and when I connect to network it asks me for the code. I'v had no email or anything.

I haven't used the offer yet myself. But here's what they say:

[*]Cerberus Network is included and will be entitled to the account used to redeem your Dragon Age II Online Pass. This includes Zaeed - The Price of Revenge, Cerberus Weapon and Armor, Normandy Crash Site, Cerberus Arc Projector, and Firewalker Pack. Visit the offer page to download the necessary files.

So basically your Black Emporium code goes in there. Then you should get a code to download ME2.

[*]Thanks mate VERY appreciated :o

Oh I'm not complaining at all. In fact right now I'm considering switching to the new version to avoid using my DVD drive.

So this version is available for download until the end of April. But would you be able to download it now and install it much later?

Just so you know, you can activate your retail DVD version of ME2 on EADM. Just bung in your CD key and voila you can download the disc-less version. ^_^

It's nice to see some positive posts for a change, I had all but lost hope in these forums.

Thank you Bioware for this nice gesture.

Well it is free...so if you don't like it (for those that never bought it) you don't lose anything.

Possibly the best game of all time for free. Who can complain about that?
I'll give mine to a friend and infect him with the ME virus.

You could download it, but I'm not entirely sure your laptop would be able to play it.

Thanks but could you tell me if I could I enter the code now and download it at at later date on a better computer?

Wow, I can't believe how ungrateful some people are. Bioware have given away one of the best games ever, for FREE, and now a heck of a lot of people who never experienced this awesome game will be really happy. This is a fantastic gesture that should be praised, not critised.

Yes if you've already played ME2 you don't get anything really valuable. But newsflash people, Bioware don't owe you anything. They didn't have to give anybody anything. But they chose to give some people something.

Seriously though, the whining says more about the people doing the whining, than it does about Bioware.

Here just use this site. Select Mass Effect 2 from the list on your laptop and it will show if your laptop can run it.

It automatically installs once you download it, but you can download a game that you own on more than one computer.

Too bad I can't trade in the free Mass Effect 2 for DLC :(

Wittand25 wrote...

Though I expect the ME2 ultimate edition will be in stores this summer.

I hope so...and hopefully all the DLC are on disc and not code to download your DLC.

Also, if you go to settings you can set EADM to keep downloaded installers.

I thought that, too.  It's been selling poorly on PC.  Smells like desperation.

The event is (in part) because we reached 1 Million sales faster than Dragon Age Origins.

How is that desperate?

*BOOM*

Ignorance, HEADSHOT.

I'm shocked. So now I got ME2 for PC free, and I was debating if I should buy it for PS3. Well, since my PC can run it, although not at max settings, I guess no money for PS3 version from me.
Whats up with EA, really?

Could someone tell me if I can give the ME2 code to someone else and effectively gift my extra copy to them?

I've always wanted to check out how it is on PC but never could convince myself it was worth the money. Now I just have to wait a stupid amount of time for it to download as I have a slow internet connection.

its actually quite a good marketing idea. me, having never played a mass effect game, nor even thinking about playing me or me2, i tried it out because it was free. i am actually pleasently suprised and i am highly considering getting me3. where as before i would have passed it up.

You can gift it, though it's my understanding that the other person will not get the Cerberus Network content because that will be tied to your account.

Hi guys, I got the code for a free ME2 off of a friend, it applied to EADM without issue and I have downloaded and installed, but I cannot access the cerberus network, which apparently I should have access to, I put in the code that EADM gives me under licenses, the first time the page just refreshed and the second time it said "Code in Use" but I still have to access, the redeem page on this website does not recognise it. Can anyone help?
