Singleplayer games like dragon age is like paying for a great movie or book. Worth the money 10 times over. I assume you are really young, guessing 14-20 max - you love MTV, love consoles and have no imagination?
Sorry if i sound harsh but good singleplayer games like these are rare and wonderfull and people that cant appreciate them deserve pity for the hollow shells they call a personality.

It was specifically designed for Single Player.
They wanted to make a game that you could play and enjoy alone. I for one am quite pissed off about the flood of Multiplayer games. I find no pleasure in playing a game with a bunch of strangers.
And I find it hard to have any serious multiplayer options with my friends as we all have conflicting work and school periods.
Thank god some companies still honor the single player component of games...
This.
Call me anti-social, but after 8 years in various MMOs, this game is a blessing from whatever higher power there might be.

I take offense to this. Sure we younger people suck (I am 19 and cannot stand my own age group) doesn't mean you have to lump us togther. I must say though that singleplayer games are the best. Multiplayer just leads to postering and bragging. If we get an MMO of Dragon Age I will NOT buy it. Any multiplayer destorys story/lore, look at WOW , good lore in Warcraft 3, WOW good bye lore.
Any way
Multiplayer in BG /BG2/NWN=okay
Multiplayer in DA=FAIL

Nonsense ?
I know there were very good reasons for DAO to be a SP-only game and I respect that, but I'm sure there is so much potential for a coop expansion or sequel that it would be stupid not to do it...

The specs of the game are pretty darn clear if you can read. It's a single-player with DLC and Achievements, etc. (hence the "Live" part for XBox).

In my experience, the majority off the Multiplayer FPS base is comprised of little kids who got nothing else to do who believe that running around spamming right mouse button alll day while shouting "PWN" "NOOB" "1337" is the pinnacle of what life has to offer. Needless to say I do not mix well with that player base. In MW's defense and from what I have seen off MW2. I think they're both decent to good FPS games. The campaign lacking severely in length, but it makes up for it in high pace hart pumping explosive action.
I enjoyed the singleplayer campaign in MW2, and I'm looking forward til when I get to play the singleplayer campaign in MW2. The multiplayer part, however, I will keep ignoring as always.
Never played Neverwinter Nights Online, now have we?
Uninformed replies ftw.

Funny thing is that I didn't once menttioned NWN online playing. I have played NWN online, however, and found the playerbase there ranging from your average fps "UBER PWN NOOB" kind off player all the way to more adult and fun type off players. It all depended on what server I played on. But generally I stuck to the more RP oriented servers so I for the most part avoided the former.
So next time you throw your uninformed accusations around, maybe you should actually read my post carefully and actually try to understand it.

Advice from a loyal 360 owner:kevin1gamer wrote...
That this game doesn't have multiplayer, is this true? It says on the box "Xbox 360 Live" on the Xbox 360 game case, so I assumed it would have online play. Especially since all new games have online now pretty much. I am beginning to have second thuoghts on whether I should spend $50 on a game that has no multiplayer. Anyone else feel this way? I mean really, single player games are so boring, you can't play with friends, you can't meet interesting new people, you can't play custom made maps and mods, and once you beat the game, there is no point in playing it again (since it's single player only). I will still buy the game anyway, but it certainly isn't worth anything more than $20 since it doesn't have multiplayer. Of course, being a StarCraft: Brood War player for the past 9 years could have some impact on how I like multiplayer (since anyone who has played on Battle.net knows that it is the best online gaming service ever, and you'll never go back to single player only again). So, anyone else here think that BioWare should add multiplayer to the game?
Go buy Modern Warfare 2....

Oh really? I think most people would disagree with you there. Especially considering the amount of annoying teenagers on there (only surpassed recently with Xbox live).
