Depends on whom you ask, but most people agree that "somebody" DDoS Sony infrastructure, including the PSN.

It's confirmed its no hacker,it's a outage how it happened is still unknown most likely i think it was because of all the people playing Mk9 & Socom 4 online as they come out on the same day.(as did 2 other games) the servers couldn't handle it. But as i said only what i think anyway.

Whoah whoah whoah... what the heck?

I'm going trough my first fem shep run (5th... or 6th run overall, lost the count), and although I'm getting the Udina/Anderson bug (Anderson is the Councilor all the way... except when Udina bursts into the room or on the newsnet), and because it IS a fem shep, I decided to go with Kaidan Alenko...

And I'm not getting the Ashley/Alenko bug. I have the decision wheel and everything, and Ashely is nowhere to be seen as an option.

Erm... not sure if I should be worried or not.

I'm having similar problems.
I chose to let Kaedan live, save the council and put Anderson there. Although I see Kaedan and the council alive, everyone (including Sheppard) talks about them as if they were dead (i.e. the reporter asking me why I left the council to die)!

I have similar issues, particularly with the Council decision. They're there but everyone talks like they aren't and the odd thing is that the first time I did a Genesis playthrough I had no issues with it, so I knew what everyone was supposed to say.

Also one time I did a fem character, I chose to romance Kaiden, then sacrificed him (I'm cruel like that), and I got a glitch before the comic even finished. The comic was showing me something different but the VO was telling me Shepherd had slept with Kaiden. And afterward everyone talked like he was alive so I gave up completely on that playthrough.

After that I decided to wipe Mass Effect 2 off my PS3 and redownload the DLC (Cerberus and Arrival only) and then start up the game again. At that point, I downloaded the patch (not sure which, but I'm Australian if that helps) first before the game installed on the PS3. No change on the Council issue.

since Jesse does not respond about the audio problems that we all confronted here http://social.biowar...65026/2#7193404

then hopefully he will respond us in this topic,

Jesse what is being done about the out of sync audio?

EDIT: I know I probably bother you but i do not intend to do so , I only wish to know what is being done with these problems since they are really disturbing.

I'm having similar problems since the patch. I decided to save the council during Genesis, and although I had a meeting with them when I went to go see Anderson on the Citadel, every NPC seems to treat me as though I let them die (e.g. the Rodam Expeditions shopkeeper and al-Jilani mention how I let the geth destroy the Destiny Ascension). Stranger still, Galactic News reports mention how the Ascension had just finished it's victory cruise, so I don't know what to think. To make things weirder, during my meeting with Anderson (who I chose to give the Council position to during Genesis) Udina interrupts and threatens to fire Anderson as his advisor; implying that I'd actually picked Udina to be Counsellor. The main problem though seems to be how there's currently no way of saving Kaidan if you're just starting a new game. This isn't as much of a problem for me personally (I more or less always chose to save Ash anyway), but it's still a major problem. Hopefully BioWare'll get it fixed soon. There not the most obvious of problems but considering how a lot of us are trying to get at least one 'perfect playthrough' ready for ME3 it's bound to cause problems.

I have the same problem, except for Anderson being the Councillor. I'm also trying to get the perfect save for ME3. Can't wait for the patch.

I know for a fact now that we are being ignored about the OUT OF SYNC AUDIO ISSUE. Got Mr. Houston on Friends list and he is VERY active on the forums everyday answering to various threads. Amost looks like the OUT OF SYNC issue is being deliberately ignored...

That said lets hope he will take it into consideration after the Genesis patch is released which should be latest wednesday.

look i played through a new game plus and it all went fine...(with the early april patch installed)

I think The Arrival DLC is causing all these problems because just after I finished it and started a new game all these problems started appearing....

I have to disagree with that. After completing 'Arrival' and downloading the 'early april patch', I started a new game with a different Shepard and these problems weren't there. After starting a new game+ with this Shepard, the problems began.

In case you can add me as a friend and tell me how he responed OK?

Jesse if you see this , you need to know we are not going to give up!

These problems frutrates every PS3 gamer who bought ME2 and as customers we should get a fine game without any glitches , and in case there are glitches we need to know someone is working to fix them!
each one of us paid 60$ and each one of us should get the best BioWare has to offer! (Paragon speech:D)

honestly , what do you think we should feel when BioWare is just ignoring us?!?!

Went on to the Playstation site and this is what they had to say:

An external intrusion on our system has affected our PlayStation Network and Qriocity services. In order to conduct a thorough investigation and to verify the smooth and secure operation of our network services going forward, we turned off PlayStation Network & Qriocity services on the evening of Wednesday, April 20th. Providing quality entertainment services to our customers and partners is our utmost priority. We are doing all we can to resolve this situation quickly, and we once again thank you for your patience. We will continue to update you promptly as we have additional information to share.

So if anybody knows someone bragging about hacking the PSN, give them a black eye for me.

Trust me when I tell you that no issue or person is ignored.  Especially by me.  Our customers satisfaction is one of my primary concerns.  I can say that there are rules around what I'm allowed to talk about and what I'm not governed by the PR department.  Acknowledging issues requires a very specific set of rules to be followed.  Generally for example when I release patch notes, I'm breaking the official rules.  Chris for example is usually supposed to release the notes after a certain set of details have been followed, and often we don't release patch notes - Check the ME2 Xbox Title Updates and Old Dragon Age Origins patches
All I can say is that I personally read the forums a lot of many issues that you folks have brought forward have been fixed because of the empassioned response to them.
Sorry for not saying more, I'm just trying to be as transparant as I'm allowed to be.
-Jess

Edit: BTW you can all add me as friends on the forums.  And I try and answer most of my Private Messages and posts as long as they aren't 'Anti-BioWare' or threatening my person (You'd be surprised how often that happens).
Edit2 : I also respond very quickly via Twitter too, but you're forced to hear my innane ramblings about things like Motorcycles and ninjas

I understand what you are saying mate. I know you cannot give a definitive answer without permission however being the PS3 Project Lead which I assume gets a bit more freedom than a simple moderator, I thought you could at least tell us whether you will look into the issue and maybe report it to your testers or not.
We are not even asking for a fix straightaway we just want to know whether you guys are planning to at least look into it. The Out Of Sync issue is there right from the start of the game till the end so should be extremely easy to reproduce without effort. I really hope you are allowed to answer this simple question at least
Thanks!

I can tell ya that every single issue that *I've read on the forums* has resulted in a discussion with and a bug filed for follow up and reproduction by the remaining ME2 PS3 QA Team. Now, beyond that, until we've gone down the path further including reproduction, understanding root cause, seeing if it's risky, etc... we can't confirm issues are being resolved or reproduced internally. When in doubt, I will ask for help from the community as I have in the past. I promise!

This is what fans of any game wants to hear! It's nice to know things ARE being looked into, even it you can't or don't say so.

Thank you Jesse , I just wanted to know someone listens to our problems and now when I know so I can sleep quietly...

When such an awesome experience is ruined by little annoying bugs like these its kinda make me upset...

(not to mention the genesis bug which completely ruined the game....glad its fixed now...)

EDIT: Sorry If I was bothering you....

Sony doesn't even have a timetable for when PSN might be back up.

http://content.usato...le-for-return/1

Maybe if we're lucky we'll get the new patch by June, lol.
