Nearly all of the possible companions in Awakening can be cast away after the siege on Vigil's Keep.
Anders: Handed over to the chantry.
Nathaniel: Hanged.
Oghren: Prevented from joining the Wardens.
Velanna: Killed at first sight.
Sigrun: Left alone in the Deep Roads.
Justice: I think you need to keep him.
So, has anyone tried beating Awakening with just one character? Is it even possible? I had a pretty tough time in Kal-Hirol beating that golem and the talking darkspawn dude with three warriors and a mage working together.
Is it possible to beat Awakening all by yourself?

Yep. I've done it. Level 25 imported human noble duel-wielder. On casual. Did not do a single sidequest. Final battle was a @#$%&. Would not recomend it.

I tried it with my mage (I was playing bad). Did alright on nightmare, but then again, mages are just sooo overpowered that it's rediculous.
