I've thought about giving Isabela pants, mainly because I agreed with what the modder said: we get is, she's a saucy pirate wench who likes to have sex. But my only gripe with Isabela is that it's SO overdone. Seriously, all she talks about is how much sex she's had or would like to have. Giving her pants seemed like something Bioware really should've done in the first place just so the sex thing wasn't sooo overdone.
But yeah, making her white? Really facepalm worthy. I could buy the argument that Isabela is white, she's just tanned - as far as I remember, she's certainly white in the original game. But I like to think of her as, I don't know, more Latina or something now. Just because that's really the only racial diversity we see, with the possible exception of Fenris.
I went into the game completely uninterested in Isabela. Oh boy, a saucy pirate wench with borderline gag boobs and no pants, I wonder if they've bothered to give her a personality
at all. By the end of act two she'd become one of my favorite companions. There's a lot more to her as a character than her cleavage, on the one hand, and on the other hand I don't feel like the writing judges or shames her for liking sex and having a lot of it. One of my primary disappointments with the game is that there's no option to bro-hug her after the conversation she has with Hawke before the final battle.
And no, in DA:O Isabela is oddly lit so that it's hard to tell, but if you look at her morph in the toolset, she's got medium brown skin. She's always been Rivaini and Rivaini people have always been dark-complected.
