Oh and I vote for 'rite' ala "the rite of AshkEnte".
This isn't an election.
Damn, and I brought all these campaign flyers and banners for nothing. Better ring up the guy I hired to drive around the 'burbs shouting 'Vote for R.I.T.E' out of a megaphone as well.
You never let me have any fun.

I was going to vote for a third-party candidate.

The Write of Anullment involves the Knight Captain starting a very bitter blog about the mages.

Right of Annulment
Right of Conscription
Rite of Tranquility
I did a search of the full text of both DAO and DAII (not counting DLC or Awakening), and the only misuse is in that one codex entry ("The Rite of Annulment").

Paeyne is correct -- there are three separate terms that may appear to give the illusion of inconsistency, but, save for the one codex entry that Miashi noted, we are completely consistent in our usage in and across DAO and DAII.

Thank you Dan. I appreciate the confirmation.
I can't imagine how hard it must be to keep al lthe text in all the games accurate and consistant all the time. I write all day and no matter how hard I try there is always one or two minor mistakes in the final document.
You must have some really good proof readers and editors at Bioware.

Anders was angered by the oppression of the Templar Knight. In his spite he snuck into the Chantry in the night, and murdered the grand cleric in the name of the mage's plight. Thus started the ending boss fight.

Usually you don't invoke rites to people like that, invoking can be part of a ceremony sure, but you don't walk up to someone and say "I invoke the rite of this tea ceremony!".
It makes perfect sense if it's "right" however, because you're invoking your right to perform a an action.

ROFL
Generally I do better than three mistakes in one sentence.
In my defense, I was at work and I am not the best multi-tasker.
Edit to fix a spelling error. LMAO
