With that being said, it also depends on which DLCs you have, because I've found RtO to be vital in making Alistair almost unkillable, with Cailan's Armour set (reduce's fatigue [as Dragonbone his fatigue is only 8.2%!] and gives a regen effect during battle). Cailan's Shield and Maric's Blade also go a long way to upping his dmg I've found (bonus to dmg and stamina regen when equipped together). Next, I guess it depends if you are for/against using certain "glitches" to obtain unlimited money... obviously then you can buy all the best weapons and armour (for your other party members).
I play on Hard/Nightmare and still sometimes only get one or two backstabs in before the mob is dead...

Other than that, since you already played with quite a lot of the companions:
Shale
Morrigan
Zevran
you (as whatever you wish).
Alternatively try going Shale, Sten and Morrigan - they have hillarious banter!
Morrigan can heal just as fine. Get Regeneration and keep it running on the tank constantly. Learn the Glyphs; Glyph of Warding gives a MASSIVE boost to Defense, Mental Resistance and Missle Deflection. By learning the Glyphs you get the best spell combination almost for free (Paralysis Explosion).
Use Force Field if things go downhill.

For starters, I put a point in "Rapid Shot" and go for critical hit to shatter frozen enemies. Once you gain access to Song of Courage and some crit items, switch over to using "Aim" instead (it DOUBLES your crit rate). Learn all the way towards Master Archer and if you feel like it, go for Scattershot (although I rarely ever use any abilities since their conjuration times are fairly high).
Shale brings a ton of flexibility. Earthen Grasp is the best CC in the game (even Dragons are immobilized for the full duration 3 out of 4 times). Hurl Rock is a great fight initiation, as is Rock Barrage. Quake is a real killer early on. Stoneheart generates a lot of threat and makes her a formidable tank. Stoneaura is tremendously helpful as well, but you'd need to put quite some points into willpower to keep it up for a considerable amount of time.
If you want to still open locked chests while not having a rogue in your party: there are a lot of mods either unlocking all chests/doors or (which I prefer) turning a warrior's "Bravery" and a mage's "Staff Focus" into unlocking abilities.

Me: Elf Mage/Spirit Healer: I found Wynne too boring and not enough firepower 1st time through so this time my character went straight for Cone of Cold and Fireball first, then picked up the stuff Wynne is supposed to do. I also do the Petrification and Crushing Prison lines. So I have Wynne's support spells but with a whole heap more bang and no whining.
Morrigan: She does the Sleep/Nightmares, Hexes, Lightening and Cold primarily. Can't stand the **** but she's indespensible.
Alistair: Brilliant Tank, maxed out shield skills etc, but in this party went for Threaten and Taunt early to protect Lelianna before she could go toe-to-toe when necessary.
Lelianna: Left her archery as is, maxed out her lock/traps/pickpocketing, one level of stealth, then Lethality, Coup de Grace and then heavily into dual weapons. True she is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades, but mid-game on she gets lethal with the backstabs and is incredibly difficult to hit. So she can open anything, disable any trap, steal anything from anybody, scout out ahead and take out an awkward mage by stealth if necessary and still cause carnage in close combat. What's not to like?

With my rogue (archer), I like to roll with Morrigan, Alistair, and Leliana as much as I can because those 3 seem to be the main characters in the game. I should really swap Leli for Wynne because the main has Lvl 4 Deft Hands and my Wynne is disgusting with AW. The most devastating group I've rolled with as a rogue so far was Oghren, Shale (tank), and Wynne. Everything just melted.

I did it just to see, and not only was it great fun, it was also surprisingly easy. With DW warrior warden, DW Alistair, damage-build Shale and two-handed Sten/Oghren, you steam-roller your way through the game like a juggernaught. Just remember you need a Templar for the pesky enemy mages, and the Champion party buffs are genius stacked together!

Warden: Arcane Warrior Blood Mage (Nuker, Mage Killer, Part Elementalist Part Spirtiualist and Total Plunderer)
Leliana: Bard Ranger ( Part Seducer Part Animal Lover, Great thief and wonderful Stealth rogue initiator)
Morrigan: Shapeshifter Arcane Warrior (Primary Hexer, Secondary Healer, Part Damager Part Debilitator and Entirely fun)
Wynne: Spirit Healer Arcane Warrior (Primary Healer, Creationist, Part Paralyser Part Booster and Total Party Buffer)
The mages can now take hits like warriors and heal themselves use potions, its mana so it does not run out,
I loved this party so much that i felt disappointed at fort drakon where alistair was compulsory
so had to drop Wynne. We became so powerful with our combos that we did not need our primary healer, the damage suffered by the enemy was enormous & Ser Cautherien was just a Boss Revenant, we had her without Kiting
The other variation i did was to use Leliana as a dual wielder and this time she was a Bard Assassin and somehow it was far better than Bard Duelist.

My favorite party was probably my warden (dual wield rogue), Alistair, Leliana and Wynne. I could have replaced Leliana with someone else for more damage, but she was my warden's love interest, and so I felt like she should be in the group. My dual wield rogue dealt more than enough damage to where it didn't matter who his traveling companions were.

i let shale take most of the damage and stun them meanwhile the mages use earthquake, firestorm (i think that is the name of fire aoe spell), and blizzard. if the enemies aren't dead i cast walking bomb (or the stronger version). once all of these spells are cast (split between the mages) the mages just sit back and buff/heal

I finally decided! Honestly, I have played with both mages every game and I want a fresh characters! So I think I'll go with all warrior even if it mages are the most damage dealing class. I have also had Alistair in my party every play-through and I'm kind of sick of him. So how about Main Character dual wielding (warrior or rouge?) Shale, Ohgren and Sten! Does that sound like a good party? I'd like to see what Lelianna and Zev have to say, but I just don't seem to like rouges that much. Sure Lelianna can pick of enimes with and arrow, but can a warrior do more damage? That was not an opinion it was another question lol
Somehow I am unable to see a party with atleast one rogue be it the archer or the dual wielder to open up locks and steal money and disable traps.
Leliana is not only a good archer but is flexible to the dual wielding build and somehow worked out better for me once i put her on a second specialization of assassain or duelist in case of dual wield and a ranger in case of archer build.
Having said that, if you still wish to take an all warrior party, make sure you become a dual wielding warrior concentrating more on dex, con and medium on strength n cunning and take up the templar specialization. stack up on a huge amount of health potions and use stamina regenerating equipment because unlike Mages (mana regens with time) and rogues (gains a portion of stamina with every successful hit), Warriors seem to be losing stamina at the earliest and with no option to replenish it unless they kill an enemy.
The other better option is ofcourse you being the rogue with dual wield and specialize in the assassin tree maxing yourself out on dps with high cunning and dex with medium con, willpower and low on strength. you can be a potential mage killer with stealth. with an archery build the slaying arrow is a big mage killer.
on the funnier side make sure you make one of the warrior party member specialize in herbalism
the most susceptible dangers come from blood mages and fade demons and losing to range speciality... An all melee party is easy to take on the challenge and make them gathered and burst an AOE spell. Make sure you equip some crossbows on some of the warriors as shale has her own limited range talent ability of hurling rocks.
coming to the question about damage. A warrior needs a stun effect to maximise his critical strike and that can be done repeatedly with stamina not losing out. a warrior in DAO is more resilient with high armor so make sure you use ENCHANTMENT! well to get fire and spirit resistances. In my experience as a warrior through DAO no matter what party i brough in i always recorded the highest damage with a Mage and second with a Rogue's assassination tree, somehow maybe i am not great at playing a warrior to maximize the damage but that's just me. and then i found out that my mage damage outranked the highest warrior damages i have seen so far.
wishing you one more exciting playthrough

Me: Sword and Shield Berserker/Champion
Leliana: Archer + Ranger (maxed out animal summon quickly)
Wynne: Healer + Arcane Warrior (Started in Cailin's armor, moved to Blood Dragon when I felt it story appropriate to give that to Allisair, not that that even got a comment from Loghain.
Rotating last member for story purposes. Morgain when nobody was needed.
I put at least one 'target = mage, use crowd control' on every character

Grey Warden ~ Assassin & Duelist
Sten ~ Champion OR Secret Companion ~ Champion & Reaver
Wynne ~ Spirit Healer & Arcane Warrior
Leliana ~ Bard & Ranger
I'll be honest, I love getting sustained buffs from my companions. And even though she's not my love interest, I like bringing Leliana just because of the hilarious things she says. Especially to Sten. I don't know. It just feels like this team always gets me a good laugh, and the chemistry it has is quite nice. Not to mention that the choices I tended to make were usually in Wynne and Leliana's Approval Interests as well, so even if they weren't maxed out on that, it was nice to know that they agreed with what I was doing all game.

Main character: Arcane Warrior, blood mage
Alistair- Templar, champion (secret companion champion, templar is equivalent)
Leliana: Bard, Ranger
Wynne- Spirit healer, blood mage (Morrigan shapeshifter, spirit healer will work quite well if you can't hack the hypocrisy of Wynne being a blood mage.)
In this setup the Arcane warrior has enough mana to hold a whole bunch of sustainables and casts any other spells when needed in blood mage form. The main character is mostly used as a warrior type though. Wynne heals the party and uses blood magic for the great spells and the basically infinite mana pool switching back and forth. Leliana is the rouge to open chests and also her ranger ability gives both Wynne and the main character a meat target to use blood sacrifice on. Her arrow of slaying and scattershot are also quite useful. Alistair or secret companion are both a tank and a mage killer.
Lots of other setups will work very well in DAO, the game allows a wide range of builds and party setups.
