Are you sure about this? Then the 20% stun rate in the description is downright wrong. BioWare is known for incomplete/misleading in game descriptions though. The thing I like about Fist is that as you pump your Magic you get more stuns.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure about that. I'm pumping Magic on this mage too so it'll become moe obvious at higher levels.
Chantry Robes (Robes of Unblemished Cleanliness)? This time around I have the DLC amulet that gives +10% damage to Fire/Cold. This mage won't be wearing chamion armor. I'll be looking to maximize elemental damage.
I may go Robes + Cold Blooded for purchased equipment.
I get the sense that they were trying to make the Mage AOE spells in DA2 to not only do different types of damage (vs. Enemies with mixed Immunities), but also have different effects/styles. The result is that for any given situation, only a small fraction of all your spells are optimal. This makes Mage play even more challenging and fun.I wish the cone spells for fire and electricity were in DA2 also. Such spells are more easily controlable. Flexibility of spells is important, especially when number of spells is small (as in DA2.)
I'd still like more "close combat" type spells.
