I downloaded it,and I'm not recieving any clues as to where in God's good name it is.

It should appear on Kirkwall map just as any other location, if you don't see it, its a bug.

The icon looks like a ships rudder, it's on the bottom right-ish side of the Kirkwall map.

you should receive a letter, on your desk at your house when you have the Black Emporium.
It will invite you to visit it, and its location (roughly) middle-right of of the kirkwall map.

Sure you got it installed? It should be under the list of DLC in-game if it's installed correctly.
