Although I have criticised many elements in DA2 there is one that is kept in a superb level: voice acting.
My first language is not English, it´s Spanish, so as you can imagine, I prefeer to have subtitles and interface in said language. However, I really appreciate that you guys do not dub the game in Spanish too keeping the voices just in English.
It is a relief to have Martin Sheen voicing the Ilusive Man, Liz Sroka voicing Tali (she did an outstanding job, especially for a character so dependand on voice), Claudia Black as Morrigan, Kate Mullgrew as Flemeth or Brian Bloom as Varric. Their voices are an integral part of the stories your games tell and I really like them to stay as they were intended.
I am sure that writters have a certain voice in mind when developing a character and sometimes you guys even think of particular individuals to voice that character. Dubbin in other languages would take away part of that work and a huge part of the "soul" of said characters. That said, I have had no problems on following the language (I do not even look at the subtitles, actually) so I do hope that you keep the policy for future games.
That said, do you guys translate to other than English directly or do you leave that to distributors? Do you have any voice on choosing who translates your games? I don´t know for other languages, but in Spanish, the quality is quite good, especially compared to other publishers and games quite famous for their craptastic translations.
I have no idea about other languages, but feel free to coment if you play Bioware games in anything other han English.
