The most important thing is that Uwe Boll and Paul W.S. Anderson not be allowed to write, direct or come anywhere near the movie.

I’d rather see a TV series than a movie, and to portray Thedas in the mature setting it is intended to be seen. I mean, I’m surprised that people are comparing Dragon Age to Lord of the Rings. Dragon Age is more in tune with (though tamer than) A Song of Ice and Fire, than it is with Lord of the Rings.
As for actors, I don’t know – relatively, good unknown ones. But an actor for Sten, I notice a lot of Africa-Americans, and Arnie – though the Arnie quotes in a DA setting made me laugh to the point I would enjoy seeing it, but I look at Sten and I think Middle Eastern actor.
I like him, but he has the bad movie curse BAD.Tristah_Aeduncan wrote...

CGI. Why pay a ridiculous amount of money to actors when they can just use what they have and make it a movie and then use that money to rehire the voice actors.
Don't know what the movie would be about though, I played the game, I know how it ends.

Hmm. I have to say that some of the actors people are picking for Alistair are a little on the old side. With movies you'd have to much more consider the physical age and appearance as much as the voice and personality.
For me, Alistair is best represented by a young British actor like Simon Woods or Hugh Dancy.
For Morrigan, Kate Beckinsale might work (also British) but I also like Emily Blunt or even Ellen Page (though she's a bit young... mind you, it's not as if movies never take liberty with character ages).
For Leliana, Milla Jovovich is nice. Bryce Dallas Howard or perhaps Evan Rachel Wood could also work.
For Zevran... Antonio Banderas? Seriously? I've seen people suggest him, but this is clearly based on voice. Physically the man is just too old and too... big (meybe 10 years ago he would suit, but not now). I would think Gael Garcia Bernal, myself, or even Alan Cumming (he certainly can do flamboyant).
For Loghain, I would go with Gary Oldman or even Anthony Hopkins... someone with intensity.
Meh. I know we'll never get to actually have input in such a beast (were it to ever happen), but still it's nice to imagine.
