Hmm. I have to say that some of the actors people are picking for Alistair are a little on the old side. With movies you'd have to much more consider the physical age and appearance as much as the voice and personality.

For me, Alistair is best represented by a young British actor like Simon Woods or Hugh Dancy.

For Morrigan, Kate Beckinsale might work (also British) but I also like Emily Blunt or even Ellen Page (though she's a bit young... mind you, it's not as if movies never take liberty with character ages).

For Leliana, Milla Jovovich is nice. Bryce Dallas Howard or perhaps Evan Rachel Wood could also work.

For Zevran... Antonio Banderas? Seriously? I've seen people suggest him, but this is clearly based on voice. Physically the man is just too old and too... big (meybe 10 years ago he would suit, but not now). I would think Gael Garcia Bernal, myself, or even Alan Cumming (he certainly can do flamboyant).

For Loghain, I would go with Gary Oldman or even Anthony Hopkins... someone with intensity.

Meh. I know we'll never get to actually have input in such a beast (were it to ever happen), but still it's nice to imagine.

Just a tip, when they say they are making an anime, they are not making live action.

When it comes to the movie, if a DA:O or DA:A character makes an appearance, then all they need to do is get the same voice actors.

It should be CGI made, done in the trailer style not Manga style. And do not let Uwe Bole any where near it.

Keep the same cast for the voices.

Sten = Clancy Brown

simon woods as alistair would be really great..i was thinking that rachel griffiths would be great as morrigan as well...of course she is not  as beautiful as her but when i saw her performance in six feet under i just thought soo look like !

I vote California's Governor for Sten. I think he'd be perfect.

Oh, and Morgan Freeman as the narrator.

Hmmm...

Warden- up in the air. Really depends on the path the script has the warden take. Clive Owen strikes me as a good fit for the role, though- he plays an excellent "gritty good guy".

Morrigan- Hard one... Keira Knightley maybe? Actually, Milla could probably pull it off pretty well. Depends alot on the chemistry between the actress and whoever plays Alistair. Natalie Portman too (watch The Other Boleyn Girl to see why).

Leliana- Christina Hendricks or Scarlett Johannsen. (CH's role in Firefly was pretty much Leliana.)

Alistair- Neil Patrick Harris, maybe buffed up a bit. Ryan Reynolds/Chris Evans would be ok too.

Oghren- Gerard Butler, cgi'd a little bit. He's good at "rogue-ish".

Loghain- Alan Rickman.

Seriously.  Oh my God.  There always has to be a black person or it's racist.  Would you expect to see a white person in a movie where it's set in the plains of Africa like 1000 years ago?  Give me a break.

He don't. He is still very unexperienced as an actor if you look at True Blood and Generation kill he plays the same personality in both series even if they are completely different in every way.

So just ask yourself if Alistair suits as the silent type of guy.
