Get Peter Jackson from LOTR to make it.
Judging from most of the cut scenes, the devs appear to be big fans of the movie.

Well, I remember when Uwe Boll(SP?) is mention with a video game movie, its crap.
But when they said Peter Jackson would do the halo movie (which got canceled), everybody didn't think it would end badly.
Plus he's proven with LOTR he can do a large-scale fantasy movie.

So if Bioware sold the movie rights to Dragon Age, who would you like to see playing the characters your PC encounters during the game?
I want it animated. By the team that did the trailers.
Voice actors... meh, not so sure.

But if it would be to happen right here and now I would rather see it quasi-animated (see Beowulf). No Uwe Boll. No famous actors. No Origins makeover - it would mean setting a canon and we all hate that, no?

I won't mind if the writer/s set a 'canon story': I would personally like to know what the 'real' story is, at least as far as the writer (and his mind) is concerned.
I do agree: no big name actors/actresses, or directors...keep all the people who worked on the current project for voices, as CGI would probably be the best way to go.
Anime? Hmm...some people may get turned off, but it is a valid medium for storytelling. The Ghost in the Shell series, Last Exile and most of studio Ghibli's stuff being good examples, IMHO. I would prefer CGI for a DA film, tho'.
Uwe Boll: what? no one liked the Dungeon Siege movie?

I would want young people.
Leliana is Ellen Page, most likely. Though considering the taste of the actress, I bet she would die to play Morrigan.
Wynne would be someone older, 60 or older. There should be plenty of great actresses without work in that area.

Anyways it should be done in 3 parts,
Part 1 - Ends after killing Flemoth
Part 2 - Ends after getting the ashes and helping Redcliff
Part 3 - Obviously to the end.

Honestly I liked the game but the story seemed to bland to make a decent movie.

schwarzenneger for sten
You know..I kind of like this idea. After he's done being the Governator, it would be cool to see him in something, and he'd basically be playing an older more wisened Conan in Sten...I would not be opposed to this.
Michael Clark Duncan is also a good choice if you want to go that route. Also Djimon Hounsou would be a good choice (he was the "trainer" in "Never Back Down" a surprisingly good modern "MMA Version" of the Karate Kid story).

Zen could be there just for the assain scene, but it could be left unclear if he was after Alistair or Leliana - or both. If left alive he would have to face the Crows as a failure, and possibly make an appearance in a later film, or Alistair just kills him.
Humm... Whos up for makeing the movie useing the cutscene editor?

Apart from the first two Resident Evil films (which were great for the fight scenes and hot chicks), I can't say I have ever enjoyed any game film. Ever.
What? You didn't enjoy the 'Street Fighter' movie (the one w/ VanDamme)?!?
