Dragon Age Movie...

Since it's cheaper to produce, they could make more epic high-fantasy style movies.
So I would very much pay to see a CGI DAO movie.
Oh, and I didn't know that was Kate Mulgrew playing Flemeth, but in hindsight, I recognize the voice now. Cool.
How about that actress who played Kai Wynne in Deep Space Nine to play the DAO Wynne? I can't stop thinking of Wynne as Kai Wynne - She even looks like the character, despite the fact that she's good instead of Lawful Neutral leaning Evil the way the DS9 character was.

Honestly I liked the game but the story seemed to bland to make a decent movie.
Have you seen any recent movies? They make dragon age look like War and Peace.
I should clarify. I meant that the story seemed a bit bland to make a movie that I would be willing to pay to see. The only movies I have watched this year are Star Trek, UP, and Harry Potter.

This is good fun
My picks:
Alistair - Alexander Skarsgard
Morrigan - Kate Beckinsdale
Leliana - Milla Jovovich (she played Joan of Arc already so...)
Wynne - Glenn Close
Zevran - Jamie Campbell Bower
Loghain - Sean Bean
Arl Howe - Tim Curry of course
Hrm.. yeah, I would watch that movie!
I like Kate Beckinsale as Morrigan - she can come to me tent anytime.
Glenn Close as Wynne? Just, no. She'd boil my dog

As usual this is a horrible idea. If you could name one time in history where a good game made a good movie or a good movie was turned into a good game...but that never happens.
Final Fantasy VII video game -> Final Fantasy VII Advent Children movie
Star Wars movie -> Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic game
Aliens/Predator movies -> Aliens vs Predator 2 game.
and some others..
Of course it's all about movie or game personal tastes.
However I've noticed the game that attempts to just transpose directly a game to a movie or vice versa usually fail, simply because many aspects of what is designed to make a game is antagonistic with the purpose of a movie.
But a game freely inspired from a movie, or game based on a movie concept can do fun stuff. For example Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic which is based on Star Wars lore, but not the movie directly.

Alistair - Ben Browder or Chris Evans
Morrigan - Claudia Black (it's just made for her)
Leliana - Kate Beckinsale or Audrey Tautou
Wynne - Glenn Close or Judy Dench
Sten - Jeff Goldblum
Oghren - John Rhys-Davies is the only one I could think off due to his portrayal of Gimli
Zevran - Leonardo DiCaprio
Loghain - John Travolta or Alan Rickman
Howe - Tim Curry (no contest)
Flemeth - Kate Mulgrew (again just has to be)
Duncan - Jeremy Irons

Realistically, I don't see how another high fantasy movie gets made after the LOTR movies. Especially since the Hobbit films are still due to be released.
Well, technically, the Narnia movies are high fantasy, as are the Harry Potter movies as well. They are also remaking Clash of the Titans.
Or are you saying that LOTR movies set the bar so high? Which I agree, LOTR movies did show how great high fantasy movies can be when they are done well, unfortunately studios just don't listen.
I'm still waiting for the release of Solomon Kane www.traileraddict.com/trailer/solomon-kane/trailer .. a studio needs to pick this up for wide release.

Lord I hope they don't. . . .
Why?
Because we all know that Mel Gibson would end up playing Loghain and NOOOOOBODY wants THAT.
Uh... Why not? Mel Gibson is one of my favorite actors of all time, have you never seen the Lethal Weapon series?

Unless the Blight happened to be the English I doubt Mel would be interested anyway.

If it wasn't cgi... all the suggestions for actors playing Alistair except for Chris Evans don't seem to work. Alistair isn't fair skinned, or old. He's young, and has a sorta "dumb jock" look mixed with a bit of dork. I think Channing Tatum would be good to play Alistair as well.
Gerald Butler as the pc grey warden would be awesome, absolutely awesome I think.

You should be a casting director! But I'd change Sean Bean to either Teagan or the Arl. Heck, when I first saw Teagan I figured he'd been modled on Bean. So, who to be Loghain? What's his name, played Elrond and the Agent in Matrix....
