Hope that they take what I love about DAII and fix the mistakes made in the game. If it had sustainable and varied environments I'd probably jump on it.

Wait for a review, though admittedly I've personally never had the same loyalty to DA that I do for ME.

For the people saying they'll read reviews...from where? Here? Hold on, I have to laugh.

I'm going to preorder it. Why? Dragon Age 2 was enjoyable, the world of Thedas is going to very interesting places plot wise, and I personally can't wait.

Seriously if there is a plan for an expansion, I would love to experience it with lots and lots of horde battles and a couple of badass boss fights, and some new cool gears too and can you add a pitchfork when you are at it.

forget it came out, remember 6 months later, ask friends what they thought, juggle my time with said DLC and some other game (that's largely what i did with Origins)

only game i tend to buy DLC day 1 is mass effect

Buy it.

Then come to the forums to read a bunch of people **** and moan (and fail to admit that they'll buy it too).

Then don't buy the crappy DLCs, the nonexistant expansion, or the game. Do please dedicate large amounts of rage and energy to hating the game. It helps.

And as you're entitled to your feelings on the game, so are the people who don't feel the same as you. Name calling and belitting someone else because they don't agree with you says a hell of a lot more about you.

This seems to be the prevailing viewpoint amongst the "faithful", doesn't it?  It would be just as easy for the game's critics to make broad assumptions that the "fans" are a bunch of shills, poor consumers, and/or have incredibly poor taste in games, but I mostly just see continued critiques and debate from that side without resorting to a bunch of childish name calling.  Perhaps that defensiveness comes from being outnumbered 3-to-1?  Perhaps they harbor a secret love for the people at Bioware?

I'm not sure why this so hard to understand, but:

Being disappointed with Dragon Age II and coming to the developer's forum to let them know why =/= "rage" and "hate"

It's not just the "haters"; aside from Sonic it's the lowest reviewed Bioware game ever.  It's pretty clear that across the board, the overwhelming consensus is that it's flawed.

Why exactly do folks get so incredibly bent out of shape that people are unhappy with this game?  This zealous, angry defense of a product is bizarre.  You like the game so much, awesome, go play it.  Bioware and EA have a satisfied purchaser in you.  I expect better for $60, and I expect better from Bioware.  I paid just like everyone else and was disappointed, and I have just as much right to talk about it here as you do.  Deal with it.

I know! I have seen those who were disappointed calling those that love it fanbois (so obnoxious that spelling and the term) mouth breathing, koolaid drinkers...and it pisses me off no end! I had one today I reported for using vulgar language and calling someone a slur having to do with sexual orientation, which I will not repeat (you all can figure out which word I mean), and I reported him/her for it.  I am no Mary Sue, but damn I believe people have a right to their opinions.

I do feel like I didn't get my $60 worth, but I have also managed to make that clear and what I found wrong (and right) in the BioWare official threads. Actually it makes me happy that some really love it. And it just goes to show with all the emotional outcries from both sides, how much we all love this franchise and BioWare (even if we are mad, sad, disappointed, happy, and exstatic about DA2).

Notice the marketing that is used to sucker more of us into buying inferior products, then make a well known hand gesture, walk away, and go buy Skyrim.

Sigh. What will it be..maybe Anders will hit the road and burninate a few thatched roof cottages to call attention to chantry injustice. Chantry sucks! I'm killing your kids! No, I'll still buy it because I did have some fun with DA2 and I want to see where it goes.

Depends on what the expansion/DLC is but I enjoyed DA2 much more than DA:O so I will think about it considerably.  Never bought Awakenings or DLC for DA:O due to the less than stellar combat engine (I did enjoy everything else about it though)

Say "Oh cool," read speculation, wait until reviews come out, and then probably buy it. However, I don't want to see an expansion until March 2012 at the earliest; I want them to put in a good amount of time to make sure that it is a solid product.
