What will you do when they announce the Dragon Age 2 expansion?

I would say it’s about time they fixed the bugged plot and it should be free. It's EA we're talking about here, silly. They would sell their own mothers if it gave them $.
Doesn't matter if it's EA the plot is not done correctly so it should be fixed like any other bug in the game.

Wait until there are a few reviews from the known gamesites and read a lot of player reviews. Then i would decide to buy it or not.

Fool me once...
I'm kidding...mostly, I'll probably do what Dormiglione does.
But I'm most certainly not pre-ordering Dragon Age products anymore.

I might wait a few weeks after it comes out anyway, just to see if major bugs are reported, in which case I will wait until a patch, or AT LEAST until somebody comes up with a work-around mod, like they have for the isabella/sebastian bug on PC.

Like I should've done with DA2.

Still don't know why idiots remain on this forum. Claiming they sold it, or traded it in.
Which I know they didn't. They must secretly love the game, otherwise they wouldn't be here. <3

Maybe the reason some of us still dwell on these forums is because we loved origins, but thought DA2 is a disappointment. That's the case for me.

So anyone that doesn't agree with you is an "idiot"? That says more about your intellect than the people you're attempting to criticize.
Nice try, though. Please resume being overly-defensive and butthurt about a video game.
Edit: I also like the insinuation that people that were disappointed with Dragon Age II aren't "true fans". I'm glad the devoted are in the minority, if that's the case. This has to be one of the more ignorant posts I've seen on these forums.

And my answer is I probably won't buy any DLC or any expansions... if I do it will be if they release a super edition in three years with all the DLC and stuff.

Serious mostly on topic question - did they actually ever patch Awakening?

If you're talking about the console version, I played through it recently in preparation for II and don't remember any updates. My memory is pretty shoddy though, so don't take that as gospel.

I believe they did one( for 360), but it still didn't fix some of the issues (there were still pieces missing from item sets).

It's an unhealthy addiction. Once Gaider hooked you up there is no going back. At least we can complain. Just in case...Big Mac Heart Attack wrote...
I'll buy it when it comes out. The come on to this site and see the exact same people who complained about DA2 complaining about that game and saying they're never going to buy any more BioWare stuff but yet they can't stop buying it.

Dance the dance of joy! Then pre-order.
Same here.
I'm sad that many people in this thread didn't get the same enjoyment from DA2 that I have gotten, but perhaps they play games like this differently than I do. I've played through DA2 4 times now: 3 as a mage, 1 as a warrior. I basically look at it as an interactive 30 hour movie, and each of the 4 times I've played, I find something new that I missed the previous time.
Seeing you-know-who (damn you no spoiler forum) at the end there was a huge shock to me. I felt that the ending was very open for more content development, and there is a LOT of dialogue sprinkled throughout the entire game that can pave the way for an expansion or various post-campaign DLC. While playing DA2, I really got the feeling that there is a general stoy outline floating around in David Gaider's head and all that needs to be done is translate that into actual game time.
The only thing that really really seriously irritates me about DA2 is the same exact map used several times for ruins, caves, mines and tunnels. Since I've played through the game 4 times now, I've seen those maps dozens of times in the various quests I have done. One nice thing about the Neverwinter Nights toolset was that because there were cave/ruin/dungeon segments, you could piece it together any way you wanted and have any number of unique looking areas to explore. DA2 was really hurt by not developing a similar tool for internal use for dungeon development. (I specifically don't mention Kirkwall buildings, as there are real world examples of houses and such sharing the same layout in a given area).

I've probably bought maybe 300 EA games over the decades. But ME2 and DA2 were strike 2 and 3. I'm out of business with EA
