Sup everyone,

first post here and reason im posting is because im now having major issues. I have been playing DA2 without problems and now out of nowhere as soon as I press play in the menu screen the game trist to load then my computer restarts.  This is the only game to do this. I also have not changed any settings or hardware. I can play Crysis 2,DoW2, TF2 wihout problem... anyone have any ideas as to why this would be happening?

System specs:
Asus Sabertooth x58
Core i7 930
12G ram
corsair hdx-1000
2 evga gtx 570

Have you updated any drivers lately? Or has Windows done so via Windows Update (you can check the log to see what it has installed).

Thanks for listing your hardware. What version of Windows are you running, BTW?

could be your PSU - regardless of how many other games you can start up, and how much better they look then others; some game simply require "more" if they appear to show it or not.

If you feel it's not your PSU, at least check your rails and make sure your GPU is running independent rails from any other devices. also, list you're PSU brand/wattage

LightofAngels, Create a new admin profile, Disable Antivirus And if you are using Vista/7 Disable UAC. Then try launching the game..if that doesn't work under that new profile uninstall the game and re install it.

Kaspersky causes nothing but issues for gamers, i've found. Actually, Microsoft's Security Essentials is a light on the resources but heavy on protection AV suite. Try that...its free.

I prefer avast myself. I hate Kaspersky because of how it roots itself into a system. I don't recommend Security essentials so much because their last couple of updates have been poor at best. It caused my raid to go completely unstable.

just use windows defender, it's superior to most AVs and only reads on write, IE doesn't hog resources nor does it ever cause conflicts or asks for your decision.
If you are somehow against microsoft or some such, then try comodo - same concept but more "yes or now" decisions. both free.

or browse better porn sites, and don't worry about an AV at all :P
