Hi all Fellow Xbox360 Owners,

EA / BW have decided that all loyal fans can get ME2 for the PC for Free.

If you too like Me only use a 360, and feel that this free pc game is a little unfair, please reply in this thread, who knows, someone from BW may actually see it and bring the matter up to someone who cares about console owners .........

My reason is simple, if I had a PC that was specced to play ME2, then I would have bought have bought DAII on the PC in the first place, I do not, I own an Xbox360 , so what use is a free copy (dont get me wrong very nice gesture), on a PC to me ?
Why can we not get a code to d/l ME2 off XBL ?
ME2 is on the XBL games on demand......

All Xbox360 Owners please respond to this.

Sorry to disagree with you but they are giving us this for free, and even if I don't have a gaming PC, I will accept the gift gratefully and give it to someone I know that has a gaming PC and will play the game.

Might be wise to try to find out why they decided to do this before starting a petition. I suspect there is a valid reason for it.

I'd be more interested in some way to give console users modding tools... really, it's no surprise that PC gamers get more than console gamers. It's always been this way, and I don't have a problem with it.

Microsoft's distribution fee is too high. Their price for exposure to a "wide" market is handing over complete control for price points and promotions. BioWare has no say in how much to charge for a game after approving it for the Games on Demand option, they just make a percentage of Microsoft's total sales. From a legal standpoint, it would be easier for them to commission another printing of ME2, and distributing the free copies that way (which I can assure you is similarly prohibitive in expense.)

On the other hand, other than managing bandwidth usage for all the downloads they don't spend anything giving out PC copies through their own network, and pay very little for Steam.

Enjoy it if you are able, but don't expect anything to change.

Are there really that many 360 users who play Dragon Age that don't already own ME2?

I just want the game to be patched. Soon, please.

This. So much.

I don't really care either way (since I already have ME2) and I'm puzzed as to why Bioware are doing this at all.

Wag the Dog technique?

Well if it is it doesn't seem to be working. *Sigh* I don't want ME2, I've already done 5 or so playthroughs. I just want to be able to play DA2 without the cutscenes looking smooshed, or Merrill's companion quest bugging out on me. :(

I feel for you and I hope that Bioware's shoddy release with this game makes customers demand higher quality in the future.

I gave my PC copy to my room mate/friend. I don't own a PC and as such no need for the game. But to get my friend into the ME gaming scene I gave it to them instead.

Steve Nicks - you truly expect them to, what, send out a free hard copy? Or rock the XBL boat by giving an entire game away as a DL?

I'm not sure why EA/BioWare are doing this, but even though I've cleared ME2 a number of times on 360, I won't say no to doing it again on PC, just to see the difference (why does Shep's default armour look better on PC? ho-hum.. ).

I too own a 360 version of ME2, just tried out the PC version. I think I might even prefer it.

I have to agree and disagree, i dont have a pc that can run mass effect 2, im not saying we should get the game for 30, but perhaps some dlc, or something, i mean if i had a pc that could run it i would play it on pc, but i only have a ps3 and 360, but again they are giving something away free, if they had given a code for whichever console you bought DA2 on, i think it might have worked a bit better, but again FREE, but if some awesome Bioware employee was like "our fans are right" (to the science mobile!!!) i would love Bioware even more than i do now(and that is hard)

I don't think the problem is Bioware, it's what X-box demands just to post content. They really fight anything being put up for free.
I've never been a big fan of PC games, but I never really tried them (or at least good ones) I'm looking forward to the chance of trying ME2. Thanks Bioware!
