I have been through 2 technical support sessions with EA's so-called "experts" and i still have not been able to find a resolution to my issue.
I installed EADM (electronic arts download manager) after the website told me to following my promotion code redemption for a free copy of Mass Effect 2 via their "sequel special offer" with the deadline of april 30th.
During the installation/download process from EADM of Mass Effect 2, an error message keeps popping up stating: VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup can not continue.
i am also missing the file named awc.dll
if someone could PLEASE HELP ME! That would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

I think i found the problem. It wasn't my idea, it was from http://social.biowar...2618/1#6515080.
(Sorry if i'm not supposed to link to anything, I don't usually post on the forums. Though it IS from this same site). Anyway, user abysalshadow found the problem to be that in the localization.ini file, it tries to install the vc++ redistributable, but apparently doesn't have it to install. Do this:
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts\\Mass Effect 2\\__Installer\\DISK1\\docs\\localization.ini,
go to the line that says 'installvcredist=1', and change it to 0 instead. Worked for him, and me as well.
