[I have been a responsible consumer . Yes consumers literally can demand, ask, or complain about anything. This is america. Not that I have asked or demanded anything. I have only criticized them.

Point 1 ) Calling names, abusing other consumer's on the vendor forum is not a sign of responsible consumer.

Point 2 ) No you can not demand, ask or complaint about anything. Your periphrey is defined by the contract you indulge yourself at the time of buying a commodity or service. If we go buy your logic , a consumer who bought a 1 dollar lemonade and feels dissatisfied can demand a house from the shop ... sorry but even if it is america, this is not the case.

Point 3 ) Yeah , here I agree with you. You have the right to criticize, voice out your opinion but it will only be effective, noticed if it is done appropriately.... using slang or name calling is not appropriate.

[I just felt that they should have given a promotion that would work for everybody. Even a $5 off me3 would have been fine for me. Or fire Stanley Woo (I kid I kid). Seriously the only thing I'm mad about this promotion is that it is useless for people who already bought the game and I can't give it away since my friends own it too.

It is optional, not mandatory. If you dont want it dont download it. It is FREE

Another thing you are assuming is that EA/Bioware is JUST trying to woo back fanbase or trying to redeem. It may not be the truth .... infact what it seems it is more of a smart move, a marketing strategy.

They are building fan base for ME3 , so that they can get more pre-orders with ME3. The more people who play ME2 will have more chances of more people liking ME2 and pre-ordering or buying ME3 which is their future release...

You are the one who is full of assumption.... dont assume, look at it critically and try to understand what they are doing and you will see the reason why.

As a loyal customer i already own ME2 so this thing does not apply to me and from two people i asked if they wanted the game they said nah after i told em that it does not come with cerberus network and would need to dish out 15$ or some to get it

As others have said, this really isn't about redemption, or apologies, or loyalty. It's purely a marketing move to increase sales of DA2 and potentially increase sales of ME3 on PC. As a strategy, it works for me. I didn't own ME2 on PC, now I do - as a result of this move I am now more likely to purchase ME3 for both 360 (my original platform for this game), and eventually for PC. Shame for console-only players or those who already own ME2 on PC, though.

As for Bio having to 'redeem' itself at all - I've bought a ton of games over the years that I haven't ended up liking for whatever reason. I learn from my mistake, and don't buy subsequent games in that franchise, or even (if I really hated the game), from that particular developer anymore. I don't expect the developer to throw free stuff at me because my opinion of their product was negative. If a game is broken, then that's different - the consumer has every right to complain and to demand a fix. But otherwise I think it's a case of chalking it up to experience and knowing better for next time.

I'm also not sure what releasing free DA2 dlc instead would accomplish. More content for a game you already don't like? That seems weird. If I don't enjoy a game, I don't want to play more of it. That said, I did enjoy DA2, so I'd rub my hands in glee at the prospect of free dlc.

Finally, insulting people who don't share your views isn't necessary, is it? If you can't state your case without being personally aggressive then all you're doing is undermining your own argument by making it seem like you don't really have a decent point to make. Peace and love to everyone <3

No. I'm definately not the - "whoa! bioware says THANKS to all of us loyal fans, who cares if it'll be my 3d ME2 copy if it is FREE!!111 herpy derp" - kind of person. Anyone thinking that this offer is a boon to the loyal fans is simply delusional. This is obvious marketing strategy to boost DA2 sales and at the same time the opportunity to expand ME series fanbase before the ME3 release. And I would be absolutely ok with this offer if this cheap line - "Bioware rewards its most loyal fans" - didn't appear in the trailer. Seriously, far better reward would be a patch, that fixes this rushed buggy product. Bioware could redeem itself by releasing early patch, that adresses at least some of the major problems (such as Isabella bug). As others have already stated, ME2 doesn't in any way change the quality of DA2.
All of the above is imho, ofc.

Since I enjoyed DA2 very much, I don't think BioWare needed redeeming. Since I hasn't yet purchased ME2, I'm delighted to accept my free game.

No.

Make sure ME3, SW:TOR, DA3 and all DLC is fantastic and not rushed and then we'll speak.

While I appreciate the gesture, this 'loyal fan' already owns every Bioware game since 1998. All I humbly ask is for them to put more heart into their next game like before.

No.

Even if this was some act of 'please forgive us', I don't think Bioware has any need to redeem itself.

I just hope EA will let them take their time with the next titles.

It's a clever way to artificially boost DA2 sales.

To answer OP => No by a long shot ... releasing some kind of "re-edition" with fixed issues would redeem them ...

No.

I'm waiting for the DA2 patch so I can replay my first playthrough to experience the full game I have paid for a month ago.

And Awakening is still riddled with bugs.

Not really no, it's an obvious ploy to get those who previously haven't bothered with the Mass Effect series on board for when ME3 releases. It doesn't change the fact that they (EA and Bioware together) rushed a low quality game out to make a quick cash grab, presumably to help fund the Star Wars game, and in the process wrecked a very promising franchise. And it certainly won't make me order ME3.
