Dragon Age 2's sales are low. I'm not going to say that the only reason is the overwhelming homosexual content but I think it's clear that it's part of it.

.

You do know that DA 2 sold a million copies faster than DAO, yes?

Guess that homosexual content is to blame Image IPB

I have to wonder how much the speed of sales was influnced by the imho odd pr blitz, and the preorders based souly on DAOS exelent rep.
Not to mention how many of those people are disappointed with what was presented with DA2 (not atacking it just asking factoring in all varables)

Knowingly or not Bioware took a stand when they made all the companions that were allowed to have sex bisexual.

Good.  I wish they'd stop being wusses and do things like that more frequently.  Can we get some actual dark fantasy, maybe?

My point merely is that they shouldn't do it if they aren't willing to let anyone discuss it.

Dragon Age: Origins handled romances well. There was one gay guy and it fit his character very well. I liked Zevran.

I agree, I liked Zevran and never had any problems, i also liked when he said that he was in to men and women and if i had a problem with that.

That is what i like, Bioware making you think and take part, i had to think for a bit before replying because it was interesting proposition.

Romances in DA2 were boring for me without any real substance, sorry for the people who liked the romances but that is my opinion.

Oh..btw...in my playthroughs Anders isnt gay at all.

It sold faster because it brought all the fans that Origins had gathered. Let's not play dumb. It should have sold a hell of a lot more than what it has with all the money they blew on advertising. I couldn't change the channel without running into a DA2 commercial or go to a review site without running into a DA2 advertisement.

Aye, this is about Dragon Age 2, not homosexuality, not sale statistics or semantics. Granted, this topic has reared its blight-ridden head so many times I'm surprised it hasn't been locked yet.

Because its easier than actually coming with arguments to support a behavorial defect.

So you were wrong, thank you. You could have just said that, you know.

Anders was never gay in Awakening and by forcing the change, the DA2 team contributed to destroying the character. I don't care if Obama, Chuck Norris and Brad Pitt all came out in favor of Anders. It doesn't change the fact that Anders was a MUCH better character in Awakening.

Anders never mentioned his sexuality in Awakening.  Indeed, there were no romance plots in Awakening at all.  You only assumed that he was straight because he didn't hit on you.  You were wrong.

I love this part, how homosexuality, or in this case bisexuality, had to be explained, why hetrosexuality didn't ~ and it wasn't in the Awakening. And yet he isn't here to argue about the retcon that was done to Anders, like that he could die, or that he was different in many ways, but one way he wasn't different in was in his sexual orientation, since we couldn't know.

It probably wasn't much of a good idea to have a DLC character be a companion in a sequal. Anyone who's played Awakening knew that Anders, if anything, liked women in his party banter.

It actually is about homosexuality in Dragon age, Yahtzees love of Anders, and how people have problems coming to terms with 20seconds of dialogue in game (the term Yahtzee used if I remember it correctly).

I think that's enough real-life sexual politics, thank you.

End of line.

What channels were you watching? I never saw a DA2 commercial once.

Kind of like how bioware ignored all the core fans

Not all, if you don't mind. I'm pretty much a core fan, and I wasn't upset by what Bio tried to do with DA2.

I love it when people makes claims like casa de morte did, for one there are plenty of old core fans who love DA2, I don't, but then ~

Fine, some, most, majority, a couple. Is the grammar police happy now?  Obviously, I can't know what everyone core fan is thinking, but that's the problem with typing a conversation, oh well. I didn't know I was making an absolute claim but thanks Mr. Diplomat. It was more of a point, but read as you will.
