OP your complaint is several games too late.

I remember same-sex romance options were included since Baldur's Gate and Jade Empire.

Jade Empire for sure, but Baldur's gate? BG2 had several romances, but I don't believe any of these are ******/bi-sexual.

FO2 got a few, if you can call them romances (more like sex and marrige), and KOTOR had Juhani.

If there was some Bi-sexual guy in BG & BG2 I might be missing?

There are several mods that either makes BG2 characters bisexual or new romance mods, and new romancable companion mods that are also either homosexual or bi-sexual.

Actually in Jade Empire ending up with Sky for male characters a bit tricky. I couldn't get him into a relationship without breaking hearts of the ladies. He only opens up that special convo if you cut all your ties with females and you declare your intesert in men first.

It all essentially boils down to:

A person is nothing more than a product of their environment.

If you are raised in a homophobic family/community, then you will likely be homophobic.

If you are raised in a religious family/community, then you will likely be religious.

You'd be surprised at the amount of free will and rational thought that is utterly stripped from a person simply because mummy told them otherwise when they were young.

Call me a homophobe I care not. Its disgusting, you ruined Anders, and DA2 in the process. Let me guess SW:TOR is going to be full of gay on gay wookies and ewok. As a straight person this is a disturbing and a disgusting. You lost alot of "core" fans with this. Im sure you gained some special intrest groups though. Im done, goodbye.

As a straight person, I am sick and tired of being dragged into other people's personal lives.  I have better things to do with my life than to play sodomy cop.

Thx, have a nice life.

Exactly. There is a massive difference between:

 - "I'm straight,  so the prospect of two men having sex doesn't appeal to me."
&
- "A MAN FLIRTED WITH ME?!!! I AM DONE WITH THIS GAME THIS IS DISTURBING AND DISGUSTING! RIDICULOUS GOD DAMN!"

I think I get more exposure to homosexuals thanks to all the fools crying about them than I do otherwise.

P.S.:  The gay agenda can't hold a candle to the fat bastard agenda.

P.P.S:  And, I don't want to see these two having sex:

So I assume polygamy with Sky if you are a male is impossible? Never did try, just with the girls so.

I'm not surprised at all. Socio-cultural pressure is at the root of many societal ills.

Jade Empire I remember, mostly because of the females not wanting to share a love interest. But nothing rings a bell from Baldurs Gate (II).

Ah, thanks for the correction. I think I wrongly included BG2 because of some third-party romance mods.

Anyways I find it hypocritical usually among straight guys that they accept F/F romances, but feel disgusted by M/M romances. Not a peep was made when Jade Empire and Mass Effect included F/F.

But there are m/m in Jade Empire (Sky).

Well he and Fox are both bi-sexual if I remember it right.

& My general theory is that it's mostly guys uncertain about their own sexuality, but want to believe that they are actually straight (and they might be), that scream and hollar about m/m sex/romances

Correct. As long as let alone flirting even be nice to girls Sky doesn't open up that conversation to question your romances. Tho' as he is my most favorite romance companion so far, I am happy with breaking their hearts.Image IPB

Indeed.  It's quite rare for somebody to break free of the mental constraints that they were raised with, unless some kind of extreme event occurs in their life.

(e.g. my mother was raised in a religious family, but began to question it and consequently gave it up when a large billboard fell down onto her and some of her friends at around 16 years old, killing everyone except her).

Or brutally beat them for playing with girly toys (when little) or doing something not "rated M for Manly." Like enjoying dancing.

It depends where you are from. Came across some documentry on BBC last night about Uganda introducing the death penalty for being gay. I don't really care what people get upto in private, but I fully understand people not wanting it forced on them in their entertainment mediums for whatever reasons (social, political, religious, personal).

Just in case anyone thinks I was making up the Uganda thing.

http://www.guardian....entence-gay-sex

How do you come up with "forced?" No one has to buy the game. It hasn't been forced upon anyone. The OP is clearly a long-time Bioware gamer, so he knew sexuality would be involved at some point. It's not the Uganda thing you are making up. It is the idea that anyone is coerced into a sexual relationship in a video game that you are fabricating.

Well, yes, exactly.  It's even more sad that a person would impose their views on a child through violence - most likely leading to that child doing the same to their children one day...

I don't have children, but if I ever do, I intend to encourage them as much as possible, to discover things for themselves and make up their own minds about the larger issues in the world and universe.

Oh.... how we try to do that with our kids. <3

And then... invevitably, in come some random neighborhood kids imposing their parents' views through heckling, bullying... ridicule, etc. Ain't life grand? :crying:

Well of course, I appreciate, even though I don't have children, that in the end, they are heavily influenced by other children at their school, their teachers, mentors, or more or less anybody they have interactions with.

But there are plenty of parents out there who deliberately influence their children in certain ways when they are young and impressionable - not because society demands it (e.g. don't become a serial killer), but simply because it suits the parents, or agrees with their personal beliefs.

(e.g. I am religious, I believe X, therefore I will make my child believe X, and treat him/her as a blasphemer/demon if they do not comply, or I am homophobic, I will beat my child physically if they do anything even remotely linked to being 'gay' in my mind like a boy liking pink).

DISCLAIMER: The above examples certainly do NOT represent all parents who are religious/homophobic - and are not meant to. But they are definately representative of some.

I'm not so sure you are trolling, or just making a terrible argument. Go back, find better evidence, and present it, but you should realize how beating this dead horse is going to fly around here.

I do not agree with your opinion, I continue following my own. Your discomfort is noted and ignored.
