I could make the arguement valid, because just because I'm used to seeing straight romance doesn't mean I like or want to. You know how people complain about having gay romance "shoved in [their] face!"? How do you think I feel walking around and seeing almost every single romance in many a media be between men and women? But I don't make the arguement, because hey, I'm tolerant and I want other people to have their say.
Besides, I like characters and if they swing the opposite way to me then fine, that's what they do. I don't want them excluded just because I'd rather not take part in it myself, they're characters, and every trait makes them interesting to me. *shrug*
