Who couldn't help but fall in love with this rascal?, be it his bewilderment at horses that can't talk or his honest acknowledgement that you would hardly remember "every pisspot from your past", to his canny business skills that manage to net zero profit over a ten year period from a large mining concern.

Hubert, the man who should have been made Viscount.

If you don't like Hubert you're obviously some damned Fereldan dog!.

I agree he's one of the more memorable character in the game. One that actually have an opinion along with the short mouth dwarf :)

Hubert's eyes look very weary, cuffing employees is obviously quite stressful.

They did as very good job of making him the cutthroat business man. A great part of one of those quests is where greedy Hawke wants to be paid for in advance for his share of the mine and Hubert says "You are a shrewd business man Hawke, I do have some coin I had put aside for safety measures for the mine but you can have it."

I slunk away feeling bad for the miners while jingling my gold.

I thought it was funny how everyone pronounced Hubert like it was an english name, but Hawke (male Hawke at least) said it like it was french (Huuberrr)

My favorite scene with Hubert involves him arguing with Hawke about letting that one Ferelden worker loose after he's scammed the mine. He looks at Hawke and starts saying, angrily, "What?! But he's a Ferel...uh...a criminal, yes. We can't just let him go!" That slightly bewildered look on his face as he realizes at the last second who he's really talking to is priceless. It helps that Hawke just raises a brow in his direction, lol.

Although the horse rant is pretty good, too. "All the mages in this dang city and none of them can get answers from a horse."

As much as I couldn't stand him, I'd rather Meredith have to work with someone than have complete authority.

I just wish there was some way to make that damned mine profitable... Hubert should've sold me the whole thing from the get-go... Enter my "dragon-proof" fence, lol.

Poor Lilley, she would have made an awesome companion. Why did she have to get killed? :crying:

The important question for me regarding Lilley is why she suddenly drops dead when I approach her in Darktown?, she is standing up perfectly okay then when I click on her she drops down dead, I did approach her from behind, maybe she had a weak heart and the shock claimed her life?.

I think that might be a bug on your game. In my game the scene with her dead just triggers when I enter the general area.

Indeed, she would've made a better temptress than Isabela. Isabela lacks that sexy, grim tone of hers.

I wish you had the option to cuff Hubert.

Who's this Lilley again?

If he purred like Riordan, I'd join the club. Otherwise, no.

I don't know what it is about disgruntled Orlesian businessmen, but I find them hilarious. xD Gotta love Hubert!

Right, I thought that might be who it was. Yeah, I was sad she died so soon.

It's hardly his fault the Orlesian Trade Authority sent him out of date calenders.

Ah. Explains his distaste for those blasted escaped slaves all stealing into Kirkwall from the Orlesian Province of Ferelden. Old calenders suck.
