 I recently ran into an unforeseen problem. Upgraded to a new HD and windows 7 (which rocks). I uploaded a couple characters (one that looks like Christian Bale for my Batman themed character! =) ). Is there a way to download these to a new copy of the CC?

Not that I'm aware of.. If you still have your old HD you can just plug it in, grab the old files and stick them on a disk.

Unfortunately, not that I'm aware. I would like this functionality too, in addition to being able to download OTHER's characters.

They use two radically different formats. I concede that it might be handy, but if it's even technically possible given enough time I sincerely doubt it has any priority at all right now. I wouldn't hold my breath (but the functionality has been suggested on the help forum).

@Varenus:

Yeah, that would be really cool. Way easier than writing slider guides for celebrity likenesses and whatnot. It'd be nice to have an opt-in thing so you could share your characters if you wanted to or keep them to yourself if you felt proprietary about one or all of your creations.

Hate to say it but you might have to re-make the character.

There's some Oblivion mod that shows numbers on the sliders for more accurate construction. If someone made a mod like that for this game, it'd be much easier to follow someone's celebrity guide or whatever. But at the same time, you could upload your character's file so other people can download it.

Would love to be able to import/export characters across all three platforms...

That'd be like the coolest feature ever and make this site one of the most brilliant ideas ever to hit RPGs.

If Bioware wanted to be worshipped (well, more) they could make it work across games (i.e. import DAO character into ME3), but that'd be a long term goal as it'd require some cross-engine coordination.

Personally, I am not overly skilled at character creation, too many options that if wrong make it look ugly, so if it was possible to download others' it would be great, I was sort of hoping that that functionality would be why the upload button was tehre

This feature would be an enormous boon to me, since the character in my avatar was destroyed by the CC after uploading. That is, it uploaded the character correctly, as I had created it, yet upon saving it reverted to the default preset.

I would love to be able to download my characters, even better if the game could sync with the online page so my two computers could sync my save games
