Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance[/b] - "WTF" is all I can say about this game (felt like a Diablo game more than a BG game).

I enjoyed it. And I write that as a fan of the Baldur's Gate CRPGs. It was one of those fun co-op games my friend and I played the hell out of for hours on end. It also had impressive graphics for the time, and took interesting bits from Forgotten Realms lore. Although like Baldur's Gate on PC, there were several aspects that were completely botched. I also loved being able to play as Driz'zt. It was a nice a surprise. The best part was he retained the same voice from his BG PC cameos. It made him feel more authentic somehow.

I actually thought the Jaguar was excellent when I had it. Mainly because I loved AvP, I only had the two games and conveniently ignored Cybermorph. I regret selling but the fact I sold it to a guy for £90 and he ended up selling it three days later for £5 so he could buy drugs fills me with endless amusement.

I'm surprised there has never been a full on remake of the Jaguar version of AvP, maybe its just nostalgia but it pissed allover the recent versions from a great height.

Nostalgia is a beast that must be slain. Sad to say AvP does not hold up well. It looks horrible and is slooow. It was slow back then too, but nowadays I find its pace painful to bear. Tempest 2000 is my one regrettable loss. Ports on Playstation, Xbox, and PC are all altered in some undesirable way from the Jaguar original--making it the best version. AvP was great back then, though. I played through all three campaigns and had a blast. Too bad so few other Jaguar games were that fun. Not that I bought many. Five total including Cybermorph is dismal. The only console I owned fewer games for the Neo Geo, and that due to its insanely priced cartridges.

The guy that tried to sell you a 3DO is hilariously sad. :pinched:

Honestly I didn't think Alien VS Predator was good even when it came out. Everything moved too slowly and I hated how the game forced you to take damage by walking over dead aliens.

Doom on the other hand was a good port. Smooth frame rate, full screen(lots of version of doom weren't full screen believe it or not), and graphics almost on par with the PC version.

What was strange about the lack of music in the levels is that the music actually did play at the end of the level when you find the exit.

Why did they include the music there but not in the game? Strangest thing ever.

Because 90 percent of them are lousy expansion packs.
And on top of that: It's just blatant money grabbin. 30 euro for some cats and dogs... 20 euros for 5 new haircuts and a new couch? Come on.

You know what, it's like a tax on stupid gamers.

And I like the Sims mind you. I'm just against expansion packs. Gimme some good old modding. ;)

I thought that was what Call of Duty was....my bad.

But yes something else to add. Bomberman, but that might be as I suck at it somewhat.

Prince Of Persia (2008) Can´t play it for more than 5 minutes, you can´t die and everything is so automatic and repetive.
Black Ops: Well, it´s copied MW2 into worse quality package.
GTA IV: In a way, waited years for it and it´s just a tech demo, at least i had good fun with Gay Tony and Lost and Dammed.
Red Faction: Battlegrounds: Just a fast cash in.

Yes, it's a tech demo with, arguably, the best story, characters and level of realism of any GTA game to date. Oh, and it's unstable. But really, GTA 3 wasn't much different - It lead to Vice City and San Andreas, however, with San Andreas being one of the more popular games in the series. Who knows what GTA IV will lead to? Oh, yeah... Red Dead Redemption.

A game I wish was never made? Wow. That's a hard one, because I can't really think of anything. It's not a question, to me at least, that seems to be about whether it's good or not, but more about the impact of that game. I suppose titles like EverQuest, Halo 2 and maybe even Starcraft are deserving of that because of the impact they've had on people's lives, whether directly or by inspiring other titles (WoW, CoD4+ and... Starcraft respectively). Those five titles are fairly notable examples of games that caused such horrific levels of addiction and suffering. CoD7 is currently a pain in my sister's side because of how it's enthralled my dad, WoW affected me quite severely (Although, thankfully, I broke free), EverQuest is probably the first notable example of an addictive MMO that's had negative effects on people, Starcraft... Well, just look at Korea. You get where I'm going with this. I think games like that, and titles such as Farmville, are probably my recommendations simply because they've had such negative effects on people.

Should they have been made? Sure, I don't see why not. But... I kinda wish they hadn't been, just for the sake of other people.

I'd agree with WoW, but I met so many awesome people during my time on my game that I truly can't regret it.

In terms of being a time and money sink, though, absolutely.

Edit: I just remembered: MapleStory is quite possibly the worst game ever created... unless you find killing the same thing for 10 hours a day for a month to gain one level fun, that is.

Any game that charges you a monthly fee to be in MP, not that I give a toss, don't use it myself, just want to save the suckers from themselves.

WoW is the fourth released game in the Warcraft series, so it's hardly 'gone wild'. If you want a franchise that's gone wild, look no further than EverQuest. Both games are still running (EQ2 has two variations), both are getting expansion packs on a regular basis (And they're not cheap!), and EQ2 (At least, not sure about EQ1) has a cash store that seems more fitting for an F2P game, and that's on top of the sub fee.

The recent Sonic games; or at least the ones released in the last decade more or less. Most of them have been considered re-boots or re-imagining but in honesty they're utter turd.

The Sonic game on the iPhone is somewhat of a return to the 2D sidescroller but is more of a remake of the original Sonic on the Megadrive nothing really exciting about it TBH.

Honestly wish Sega would let it go and realize that the blue hedgehog is no Mario.

I think the influence of both WoW and COD is unhealthy for the industry from a creative standpoint. By that I mean, everyone is copying those two games. Over and over. I know its not just their fault, people will make what sells.

It's had three in about six and a half years. Again, failing to see how that comes close to classing as having 'gone wild'. EverQuest 2 has had 7 expansions and three adventure packs in, roughly, the same length of time, and EverQuest has had 10. Whilst not an MMO, Guild Wars has had three standalone clients (Which also work as expansions in a way), an expansion pack and an upcoming sequel (Which will likely be released late this year or early next year), and released six years ago this month. Finally, LotRO released four years ago this month, and is getting its third expansion this year.

So, really, as far as things go, WoW isn't that bad.

Where do I begin honestly....There are really plenty of bad games but Ill name the top three games I was expecting so much more out of only to be face palmed by the disappointment they caused.

1.TESIV Oblivion: I mean really wtf Bethesda! there are maybe 8 voice actors in your "expansive world" and all your fans will tell you the game is no good without mods...so in all realness you produced a fail game which the community had to try and fix.

2. Two Worlds and Two Worlds 2: Oblivion on crack? I think not! one of the worst series of games I have ever had the dissatisfaction of torturing all my senses on...yes I threw up a little while playing so taste does apply. Just give it up already, the first title I dont even need to go into and while you boosted things a little in the second title it was no where near good enough.

3.Dragon Age II: Now looking at its predecessor DAO, you cannot tell me that you felt this game was anywhere near good enough to release Bioware...Grant it, there are some things which bring out its own charm in the game but you really shouldve just given it a different title. I mean you disgraced the name Dragon Age by releasing this as an actual squeal. Nothing but minor details relate to the previous title not even the freakin darkspawn! I mean wtf!

Now there is my rant thank you!

Call of Duty 4:
While it was alright, but it basicaly made the shooters EVEN MORE of a "pipedream". I just don't like to react on things, but to scout and plan out my attacks. Yeah, yeah, games have had cinematic experiences before this, but this game just made them more dumb. And these silent protagonists suck too. Hope they would give them up already. If the character doesn't interact with the world in any other way than just shooting endless enemies, it sucks. While multiplayer was fun, it just made game developers shoehorn MP in their games to get the same "loyal" player base as CoD's have.

Couldn't agree more. I like the Sims too, but the number of expansion packs makes me crazy
