I learned that the Free Marches is essentially a utilitarian country, where every cave, mansion, and even outdoor settings all look the same.
Coming out of DA2, what did you learn?

I completely agree with TurianRenegade. I was about to say that I learned that the same architect just carbon copied the settings. I also learned that you can be an apostate mage and still help the Templars kill all the mages and/or make them tranquil.

I learned a few fanatics will ruin the lives of all those around them.
(I also learned that I've turned into my mother: "I know you hate me now, but I'm doing this because I love you.")

Well, I've learned that there is something very old in the Deep Roads. So old, the dwarves are probably not even aware of it. And I'm pretty sure this will be further explored in the future. The Grey Wardens didn't send an expedition for nothing.
I learned more about how Qunaris look at the world, more about their culture.
I learned that Tevinter is not the cool place for mages to hang out I thought it would be. Before, I had hopes that my mage warden would get a chance to travel to Tevinter one day. Now I'm not sure I want her to.
I learned that taking a spirit into your body is not always a good idea and that the process seems to be irreversible.
I learned that Leliana is now a seeker or is at least working for this section.
(On a side note: I learned that it might have been a mistake to make Alistair king. Obviously he hasn't had any proper training for ages and put on too much weight.
)
I learned that the time of the circle of magi, as we know it, is over.
I learned that Morrigan is definitely not Flemeth's daughter and that Flemeth has a greater insight into future than I thought. Also, she is more powerful than I thought.

I learned that bioware games are so compelling that even people who dislike them will still play them constantly, but also spend a significant amount of their non-gaming free time brainstorming for new ways to say they didn't like it, or new things to not like about it or even typing "I don't like it" over and over every day for at least a month, probably longer.

I learned that they really need to place each game in a seperate age <100 year gaps> cause of how poorly done all the character appearences from DA:O were handled.

Just because it says Bioware on it doesn't mean you will get a great story or a great game, you might only get 2/3 of a disjointed story and an average game.

I learned I could have used sixty bucks elsewhere. I would have liked to know more about the Qunaris, that at least was interesting. I was surprised to learn that (the Dalish Elf Hero from Origins) Dalish Clan had moved there but never found out why they would sail two weeks to get there and abandon everything, made no sense.

Absolutely nothing about the Profane except that they exist and demons like them and they eat lyrium. Why couldn't we go more into that
. Out of all the.. cool.. lore.. stuff... the Profane interested me the most, but we learn nothing of the idol or the place it comes from except when we're talking about Bartrand being crazy or Meredith buying it. There should have been at the very least discussions about it with your party members and some -trying-to-figure-it-out- thing idek I'm very flustered here I just.

Oh yeah oh man so upset about the Dalish and omg. The Champion does not seem to bother learning why people are where they are what are they doing unless she or he is confronted or paid I mean lol. We spend a total of 6 years. Those idle 3 years between events could be used to be like o ya I figured this out IDEK IT JUST WHY

or that they have higher standards then the typical consolite and don't just accept any drivel spit at them every year (a la CoD, et al)
BioWare "earned" each and every negative comment with the cut corners they've taken just to capitalize on a name.

All mages in the Free Marches are bloodmages. They are also too stupid to use range spells to keep templars from hacking them to bits in the cinematics.
No matter what you do, you are not important at all to the story and have no impact on it.
Dog 1 was a lot better than Dog 2
DLC companion in DAO was a lot better than DLC companion in DA2
Things are overpriced in DA2 and you never make enough money.
Owning a mine only costs you money.
Hawke ages well.
Lastly, I learned that Bioware can screw up like any other gaming company. Except with their long and proud history, when they do screw up, it is noticed. Especially from long time gamers like myself who have been faithful since BG1.

We've learnt that although the lead designer thinks rogue moveset animations couldn't be given to the warriors because having people in heavy armour flip out like that would be just silly...
... it's perfectly fine to give them to NPC templars.
