Yes, out of the two women you can romance in this game, Isabela is the only one worth it. A complete failure on BioWare's part, naturally.

Seems to be a matter of opinion - to me, Isabella is a bar-fly. That's just me though, and I am a female so perhaps that might be a factor. I'd get with Merill before Isabella though, she's skittish but she's sweet and thoughtful too. Aveline... isn't my type let's just say. Of course, I'm too busy with Fenris to give any of them a second though - and if Isabella ever looks at him longingly I will cut out HER eyes.

No, they're all terrible IMO.  With Isabela you shouldn't hope she doesn't cheat on you - that's like hoping the moon is made of cheese - you just have to hope she only gives you 2 strains of herpes.  I could never do the Merrill romance.  I'd feel like a pedophile.  She's an adult physically, but I've had pets more mature than her mentally.  Aveline spends all her time figuring out ways she can blame everyone else for everything wrong in her life.  Honestly I'm surprised she doesn't blame Hawke for Wesley getting darkspawn corruption.

Not in any of my games, because she always jets after the Arishok starts looking for her, but yes, I'm aware of it - which is another reason to distrust and dislike her for me.  I'm the jealous type.

Well in Origins the choice of men was pretty lousy (from my perspective): Zevran or Whiny McWhinyson. (My opinion of Alistair's manliness decreased in every playthrough, until now Steve Valentine's voice just grates on me, and I LIKE STEVE VALENTINE. If they bring him back for another cameo in a later game, I may have a seizure.)
