Usually the guy choices are weaker. I mean Origins it was Zevran or Alistair. Just with that option hopefully wynne could cure those STD's from Zev.

For ME1 it's just 1 guy or said dissecting Alien chick.

For ME2 umm 2 aliens or that guy who looks like Kanye that I'm not able to kill easily.

DA2 has 2 broodies. The Human and the Elf. Just get to pick which kind of rage out you wants. They got it in loads.

You expected any better solutions in Dragon Age 2?

The Pirate who will sleep with anyone for a good meal and was lying to you constantly. Just go to Anders after for any cleanse needs. The token elf of the 2 females who is also nice like Izzy just lies less. Just with Merrill instead of STD's you got the whole blood magic thing.

've never had complaints about my cupcakes before. But if you prefer a manly chef's crepes instead, that's up to you. I wouldn't suggest trying dingdongs though, they aren't good at all.

If you want to see bad guy choices, go all the way back to Baldur's Gate 2.  The only choice was Anomen.  Only one.  And he was the worst thing since the black plague.

Why does everyone assume Merrill doesn't have any STDs because she's young and innocent? It only takes one time and few were talking about STDs and Zevran in DA1. Such a double standard for poor Isabella. lol. But, I have to agree with this post. The romance prospects are better with the men in this game for us women gamers.

I mean just imagine if you got mad at them for leaving the toilet seat up one night and then they go all angry and blue. The next thing you know you're in the hospital. Just say'n Merrill & Isabela are the better options.

I'd just want snacks from them. Snacks made by a passionate chef are extremely delicious. I wouldn't ask them to be my personal chef forever or anything though, but sometimes you just have a sweet tooth. :innocent:

Keepers are secluded. Merrill didn't even know her own Clan that personally enough as it appeared. Varric & Isabela would have slaughtered any one in the Alienage that would have tried. They are all in Lowtown and knowing Varric, I bet he visited every door there to warn them.

I think some like to look at the characters in a darker way. For example how many that want to truly believe Fenris was abused sexually by Danarius though Fenris claims to hawke that he never had sex at least not since the Lyrium was put on his skin. Some just want to picture it a certain way I think.

While I'm sure Varric is keeping an eye out for her, he's not Superman.  He's over in Ferelden, it seems.

Look, I'm not saying Fenris was or wasn't abused.  All I'm saying is "Danarius" is an anagram for "Anus Raid."  You can check yourself if you don't believe me.  That's all I'm saying.

Isabela was very shallow before I did her romance, I certainly never thought I'd end up loving her. However from the moment I met Merrill she grated on me, and I /love/ Tali, so Izzy was the only romance I wanted to engage in. She reveals alot of depth after your romance her and she emerged as one of my fav chars in DAII.

Why do people say Isabela has STDs.  I thought the cut scene where she visited Anders to be treated for an STD happened only if you don't romance her or at least romanced her as a friend.  I never got that cut scene when I romanced Isabela as a friend on my mage Hawke.  Guess that means my Hawke was good enough in the sack to cause her to not sleep around as much to get that particular STD. 

If anything, I found romancing Isabella does giver her some additional depth as a character.  She really does mellow out some in Act 3 and becomes best friends with Aveline.  She's also pretty faithful to you other than asking Zevran for sex in Act 3 and even then you can ask her to not do it if you don't want her to, join in for a threesome, or give your consent basically.

I didn't really get much added depth from Merril when romancing her and it's basically why I rate it as last when I compare it to the other 3 romances (well 4 if you count Sebastian which I don't).

It can happen before or after, depending on what it is you do. For me, I went to go pick up and talk to Isabela and Varric, two of my favorite characters, then ran back home to check the mail and Isabela surprised me with sex.

IMO neither of the women are worth romancing. Aveline isn't even part of the discussion because, as I'm sure we all know, it's impossible. I'm glad other people enjoy the romances though... but there's really nothing that interests me.
