Morrigan - idiot swamp girl who somehow believes she knows anything at all about how the world works, then proves over and over again that she doesn't
She believes the weak and helpless should be left to die. Just like Hitler !

The guy claims to have millitary experiance but I can't seem to bash the words "We can't attack the Archdemon now because we don't have a large enough army and it would crush us" enough times into his head

He sure has his moments and I really dont mind vulgarity (f.ex. Korgan was one of the best Baldurs Gate characters in my opinion). But he kinda takes it over the edge and I could never endure him more than just for his quest and Branka. Maybe I should give him a chance, but in the moment I even prefer Dog over him. Dog barks, Oghren belches - decide for yourselves what is more disturbing and unfitting in a bossfight.
And I dont get the Wynne hate. She is a very detailed and deep companion. And I never found her to be so overly "righteous" as some make her.

She never says anything so stupid I am forced to simply stare at the screen in utter disbelief (this is where my hate for Morrigan comes from), and I tend to agree with her stances on in-game conflicts, so I just shrug and o skip through her dialogue when the lectures start.

Of course a lot of people hate Wynne, and this thread confirms it once again. Personally, I find her to be a very powerful companion so my characters just nod there heads and pretend they are listening when she lectures. I disagree that's she's not interesting to talk to. You can say some pretty funny things to her like tell her she's full of rubbish and your character can repeatedly demand that Wynne talk about the Griffins when Wynne tells her story about the Grey Wardens of the past.

What does Morrigan say that you feel is stupid?BigBad wrote...
I think I tend to give Wynne a pass on the whole 'lecturing old biddy' thing because she is old, and I sort of expect old women to be self-righteous busybodies. No matter how you act, there's still room for improvement and they are going to tell you so whether you ask them or not.

Personally, I hate Morrigan. She's so full of it that she stinks to the highest heaven, not half as smart as she thinks she is, and abjectly egocentric too. There really should be an option to chop her limb from limb instead of letting her swagger out if you refuse the ritual. At that point at the latest, there's no way my character would let her live.
After that, Sten. Again with the monumental arrogance and the not being as smart as he thinks he is. Also a lot of people say the Chantry is intolerant and dogmatic but they can't hold a candle to Mr. "I deny that woman can't be warriors although one is standing right in front of me" and his weirdo beliefs.

Oghren. His sort of humour just gets on my nerves, I suppose, and what redeeming qualities he has are quite few and far between. There were a couple points where I thought he was almost interesting or almost funny, but then he went right back to simply annoying.

However, DAA Orgren's humor (somehow 100x more childish than his Origins self) was insufferable.

I tolerate the outcast know-it-all well enough but my primary source of frustration is how dialogue seems stacked against the Warden such that you have to put up with her bull.
MEN: Oghren
I like clowns in moderation but there isn't anything moderate about Oghren. Alistair has comedy and drama, similar to Sten, Leliana, Wynne, etc. But Oghren is a running joke that - while quite funny - gets tiresome and leaves me wanting more from him. Or am I stacking Awakening with Origins?

Hate Sten cause he is all like yay im a 2hand warrior roar! then 3 sec into a fight on easy he is on his back....
Alistar is a whiner... Wynne is a preacher... Sevran is gay.... Oghren is a drunk who aint funny...
Shale is clueless but does have some funny comments
Morigan she always cracks me up with her awsome comments... "quote from the ambush in camp" tss what will they send next... darkspawn tax collectors...
so the perfect party must be u and the dog... who needs the rest anyways

I feel I have to defend Wynne, who was like a fussy mom, and probably the only mage in existence who never had anything to do with blood magic. Besides my own mages. I've owned this game for two years and I never got blood magic.

I appreciated all of them. The only thing that I was disappointed with was Dog. That was thankfully changed in DA2, as it should've been in DA1!

Hmm, in my games Wynne almost always dabbles in blood magic. It's interesting that it does not change what she says one bit. It does work quite well with her spirit healing specialization though and does make her in my mind your most poweful ally.
