Well, that and I am not exactly an avid fan of the Qun. Yes, women can be warriors. No, I don't fancy having my mouth sewn shut and wearing chains. And no, I'm not interested in submitting or being enslaved, thanks all the same.Assasin4Hire wrote...
Mine would have to be Sten
The guy claims to have millitary experiance but I can't seem to bash the words "We can't attack the Archdemon now because we don't have a large enough army and it would crush us" enough times into his head

Alistair: There it is, the last of them.
Wynne: (sigh) It has been a long day. By the lines around your eyes I dare say you look as old as I.
Alistair: And if I may say so, milady, you appear to be getting younger by the day.
Wynne: Be careful who you flirt with, young man. (chuckle) When you wake up beside me tomorrow morning I'll be back to reminding you of your grandmother.
Alistair: Beside you?
Wynne: You heard what I said. It would not be the first time I woke to a younger man in my bed.
Alistair: Are all women this evil and conniving when they grow old?
Wynne: Just me, my dear. (chuckle) Just me.

I feel almost bad saying this, because I know how deep he got into his stories, but during my second playthrough, where I really decided to buckle down and try to get everyone to like me, Zevran was arguably the most boring. Whenever I talked to anyone else, I got a different story, something insightful, and if they ever reference a choice I had made or a romance I was in, I'd get especially giddy. But the story with Zevran is always the same. No matter what kind of story he tells me, or who the characters are, it always ends the same. They're dead, after having just had sex with him, and he had some hand (no matter how indirect) in said death. Haha, granted, one of his stories is pretty humorous, and one of them is really emotional, no matter how you look at it, they're still about the same thing.
So I guess if I had to choose a 'least favorite squad mate', it'd be him. Because there's that, and Antivan Accents just remind me so much of 'Puss in Boots' from Shrek. And so when they're all running around talking about their trials as Antivan Assasins, I just can't help but shake that Antiva is stock full of Conquistador Cats (Though I'm sure Anders would love it, there). Haha, I think there was even a cut-scene with the leather boots where Zevran mentions the smell of fish guts. I was like "Yeah, they're all cats."
Not to mention that I was already a rogue, and because I enjoyed Leliana's affable remarks with just about any squad member, I had more than enough rogue support, so he was rendered a little less useful by circumstance.

I'd say the deepest character is, paradoxically, Zevran. He goes from cheerful nuisance to casual sex to earnest and heartfelt devotion, if you let him. The other characters stay as they are, more or less. Alistair does have lighter and darker moments, too, but the biggest transformation is Zevran's.
As for stories, you can say that about everyone. All Wynne talks about is the Circle and apprentices, Alistair is all about the Wardens, Leliana about spying, Sten about battle and warriors...

Wynne is tops on most hated list, but Leliana is probably my least favorite because it's at least fun to hate Wynne. Leliana is just boring and creepy.

Zevran: Trouble my dear?
Warden:-grabs Zevran by the hair- -drags him to the tent-
Zevran: What strange customs you Fereldans have.

He seems to thing he is living in a fairy tale when everyone is honorable ands the nice solution is always best.
Marvin my grandmother doesn't lecture endlessly about things she knows nothing about.
not all old people are like Wynne.

Hahaha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of PiB immediately after hearing his accent. I loved all of the Companions, and agree with what everyone was saying about how deep he is, but if put in the situation where I was forced to choose one, it'd probably be him.
Though this is coming from someone who dumped both Leliana and Morrigan to willingly marry Anora. So if the opinions of Anora on here are anything to work off of, my opinion shouldn't count, right?

Hehe, solidarity!
And to be clear, I don't hate him or anything...I was just picking my least favorite. DA doesn't have a crummy character, IMHO.
--But yeah. Once I heard him talk the first time, I could never, ever take him seriously. Not once in the entire game.

Sten does also have the Conversation about Cakes...which I thought was hilarious.
I can't say that I particularly dis-like any of the Characters...I think they all fit the niche they are supposed to...
If I absolute HAD to pick one, it would have to be the Mabari, but only because his default background actions involve all that barking.

Alistair complains and whines the whole time andin the end he left, because he's pissed of, that Loghain became a Warden (even though he probably will die a horrible death in battle) and walks of in the middle of a goddam Blight.
The only good thing with Morrigan is her Mother, who is really cool. But Morrigan is just annoying, complaining about everything
The only good thing about both character are the voice actors... well, not the only good thing - they have some funny dialogs, but compared with the other characters, I founde them annoying

Well, so Morrigan is partly redeemed, but Alistair is defintively not. I'm still pissed off, that I soothed and listen to him the whole adventure about Duncans death and then he stomped off liek a little childe, because things are not going like he wnats - in a bloody Blight (did I mentioned that ? ;-))

I loved Wynne, but there seems to be a lot of hate for her on the forums. I don't know, maybe cos I'm an old lady and can empathise with her?
That dialogue with Alistair was hugely entertaining!

So instead of bringing some interesting fellow you're stuck with a preachy old lady who will never approve of anything you do no matter how saintly.
