I think it was mentioned during the first or second act. I just took it as him joking about the situation to make being a Warden look like a horrible experience (which it is).

I think he is dreaming of the calling / song coming out of the old Gods.

Are you sure Anders specifically said it was an archdemon? And what act?

I too remember him using the word archdemon in regards to his dreams. But i agree that he could just be dreaming of an old god. It calls the darkspawn, so it calls wardens too. Telling them apart could be different (dragon god vs. pissed dragon god). Or it really just was a snarky comment.

So this might be why the darkspawn "disappear" from the deep roads. A new arch is collecting.

Yeah, I recall Anders mentioning this, although I can't recall when.

And it could be possible there is another Blight brewing- the Orlesian epilogue slide in Awakening hinted there were rumors of another Blight starting in the Anderfels. But of course, the epilogue slides are subject to change, so ignore that. :)

He says it the first time you meet him.

Wasn't that because the plotflag wether or not you spared the Architect bugged, and it always presume he was spared?

So we potentially have a Templar/ Mage all out war, a possible Qunari re-invasion, and maybe the 6th blight. Add toat that the mysterious idol, Flemeth, "the change" and Morrigan.

Well if Dragon Age 2 showed me anything, is that Bioware can't handle several plots / conflicts at the same time properly.

Personally for me, it seemed like he was just making a humorous and general statement about some of the truths behind Grey Wardens; no doubt he's talked to Grey Wardens who were around during the Blight, so he probably has at least heard others talking about dreams of the archdemon, so even though Anders considers the dreams of archdemons true, he doesn't necessarily say that he has personally had the dreams himself.

Pretty quick, if you ask me. There were 400 years between the fourth and fifth blight. And now just 7-10 years? Man... I thought killing the Architect befor he makes another "mistake" would help.

If I'm not mistaken, he says it in Act 1 during an earlier conversation. It seemed to me he was trying to make a joke. Having said that, he hadn't yet become a Warden when the last archdemon died.

I think that happened anyways. But I could be wrong.

No, that's how Alistair knew it was a blight. They dream of darkspawn their whole lives, but not archdemons.

Where is that said? I thought they dream about all kind of darkspawn all the time, including Archdemons. Just when a Blight is coming they dream constantly of the leading Archdemon and hear him talk.

As I recall, he says it during the conversation after the first archdemon dream

That could also be the Architect and/or his Disciples. Oh... or that AND an Archdemon. Now that would be important business.
Architect:"Dang it! I was so sure this time!"
Hero of Ferelden: "/facepalm"

Hrhr, yes. But the Architect is runnig out of test subjects. And if he fails again... his track record really sucks. Three trys, three blights. D'oh!

This is my take on it.  I think he was jsut talkign about the 'perks' of being a warden; I don't think he was specifically saying that he has been dreaming of an archdemon recently.

"The hopelessly tainted by the darkspawn and plagued by nightmares of the archdemon parts... don't go away."
Is what he says.

Whether or not he actually dreams of an archdemon or is just trying to snark, I don't know.

Don't Grey Wardens start getting the call from the buried archdemon (like the Darkspawn do) just before they head into the deep roads and fight to the death?

Perhaps Anders' is starting to have those dreams 20+ years earlier than most?

I thought he was just saying it as an exaggeration - he mention Grey Warden parties in that as well, and I'm not going to take from that that the Wardens have an awesome social scene.

Exactly... and he confirmed that the people from Anderfels excel in binge drinking.

Hmmm, maybe you're right, was forgetting about Alistair. All those wardens getting together to talk about their taint, ugh.:P

You know that you can't resist Duncan, Riordan and Stroud dancing to staying alive.
