Does anyone know what these are made of?

The description, both here and at Epic Weapons, just states what it's plated with, not what the actual material is. I'm also wondering if the plating is coated with some sort of enamel, etc.. or if it's going to end up scuffing badly, etc.. from use.

If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say stainless steel, but it's just that: a guess. Looking at the black coating it's hard to say how durable it'll be, and I don't feel too strongly inclined to give it a scratch test!

Just sayin, it has 4 lil felt feat, so just setting it down horizontally shouldn't really do anything. If you're super paranoid, you could just superglue a thin layer of felt cloth to the entire bottom.

It's not the bottom I'm worried about :D

Tho, now that Chunky mentioned it, should that not be black silverite?

I just don't want to drop $12 a pop on these things to find out that the surface wears off/scuffs easily when used.

The black bits look like they may be anodised, in which case they'd be almost indestructible.  But "looks like" and "is" are completely different things, so I won't be betting money on its longevity just yet!

I'm guessing since the coaster is a solid chunk of metal, and that the black nickel of the design is plated on, Its going to be a more durable then an enamel. Plated would suggest that its been electrically bonded to the surface, sooo... I'm guessing again like most things that are plated, it would wear over time with constant rubbing, but you'd not have to worry about it scratching or chipping off.
