Then in DA3 because of voice problems with our mute Warden, he/she will make one or several appereances, something like being watched from a distance when he/she fights off darkspawn or something like that, just to show off.
The Warden wasn't actually mute, he/she just didn't say anything in cut-scenes. If the VAs who did the incidental dialogue were available, it would in theory be possible to have a voiced NPC warden based on that.
Though even then there's no guarantee it will sound the same ... Bodhan sounded totally different to me in DA2, even though the same VA returned (until I checked, I was convinced someone else must have been used).

I believe the next lead will be a hamster by the name of Perrywinkle. It shall be a merry quest.
Made me think of the old cartoon I used to watch called Hamtaro lol. Could you imagine Hamtaro as the lead role in DA3?

But neither Hawk or the Warden, someone new.

voice over is nto going away any time soon. there's a lot more who like it than dislike it. i'm fine either way, but looking at it objectively, there's little reason to go back to no vo.Drasanil wrote...
I want Hawke to dead, buried and forgotten. If I wanted a fixed voiced over character I'd play Mass Effect. If Hawke gets brought back for DA3 I'm quite simply not buying the game.
I'd prefer either the Warden, which is tricky, or a new character with multiple origins again or at least the ability to choose your PC's race. Preferably without voice over so more resources can be dedicated to companions and NPCs, while Hawke's party was good they just felt shallow compared to DAO or even DAA's characters.

Oh, Perrywinkle is superior to Hamtaro. He has an important quest, and was visted by the three spirits of adventurers past. He has the finest armour the hamsters of Wheelarnia could provide. His skills outmatch those of hawke.

Perhaps Perrywinkle could have Hamtaro as a party companion and/or LI in DA3. It'd be pretty epic.

new protagonists would be great, but with all the unanswered storylines it just seems like da3 (or a very large expansion) is destined to be the game that ties things up before we move on to an all new protagonist in da4.Gunso91 wrote...
I wouldn't need the Warden or Hawke back although I enjoyed both. Wouldn't hate it, though, to get to know something beyond "they disappeared". If they decide DA3 is supposed to be like DA2 with a new protagonist in a new environment with new characters then I'd be happy

It's gonna be SHEPARD! Or the Dragon Age equivalent of Shepard, Hawke.
Seriously how hard can that be to think of who we're gonna play in DA3? We never even saw our main character after Varric's story, of COURSE we're gonna be Hawke. Durrrrrrrr.

This thought scares me. Seriously.
I would rather play a new char in DA3 than ever again with such an uninteresting, bland and unsympathetic main character like Hawke is

Pfft. Both pale before the superiorness of Boo. After all Boo is from Baldur's Gate 2 which is superior to all that came before or after. Perrywinkle is just a poor attempt to get the CoD crowd to play games with Hamsters. But doing so just alienates those of us who have always loved them.

Damn you and your Boo! Boo is old and outdated, only the people with facial hair down to their chest like that! This is modern times! Perrywinkle is about his personal story! We're not saving the world! Perrywinkle is the more superior character, and you're just looking at boo through rose tinted glasses!

he/she is getting old mentally, meaning that the warden has experienced a lifetime in only a short time. there's still 20 years before his/her calling.veryalien wrote...
The Warden's story ended with Witch Hunt. I mean even during Witch Hunt you got the impression the Warden is getting old.

I wouldn't want to play as Hawke again. I think he is a too shallow character somehow. His mission had not no real purpose imo.
Well, but I wouldn't mind to meet him or have him as a companion.
Maybe the best solution for all players is to be able to choose the new protagonist for DA3. I know it will be hardly possible, but it would be great to be able to choose the character like an origin in DAO (Wraden/Hawke/new person).

He will be so awesome that by pressing a button every enemy will die instantly, which is good because there will be a lot of them. His armour will be so spiky he will look like an extra from Mad Max. You will learn all about his awesome adventures in his house, and the 'caves of despair' (his house with one of the doors locked), the 'dungeons of fears' (his house with one of the windows shut), and other crazy and varied places.
He will awesomely kill varied wave after wave of opponents before the final battle in the 'lair of the evil demon king' (his house with one wall painted a charming beige) where you get to choose to be good and press an awesome button to kill the demon and save the world, or be bad and press an awesome button to kill the demon and save the world (but with a cutting statement said in a nasty way).

Hawke would just remind me of DA2. Plus, I like the idea of building up someone from scratch. I'd hate for Hawke to crash land on a planet and have to be rebuilt by the Tevinter Imperium.
I love my warden(s), but that story is mostly complete.
