Kindhearted and Diplomatic, I like owning people with words, plus the occaisional hint of agressive and sarcastic for some extra flavor.

I tend to mix all 3 but I've done a play through with each a dominant tone. Aggressive Hawke is the only one where the paraphrase doesn't always do the actual spoken line any justice. I like diplomatic Hawke except for his clickable banter and battle cries. To quote Jack from ME2 "You sound like a ****."
Sarcastic Hawke isn't always that funny but when it works it really works.

Aye for warriors only but I think you need to be aggressive to have the option, even if it isn't required still a great violent/aggressive moment.

Everyone must do this!
1) Have a Sarcastic personality Hawke
2) Do the last part of Viscount Dumar's son quest in act 2 ALONE (note that once you finish the quest, you are automatically booted out of the chantry, so you must enter it by yourself)
3) Once out of chantry, walk around for abit, the speech should trigger automatically

This is just a part of the speech.

Oh god that had to be my favorite moment in Act 1 with an aggressive tone. Well.... that and convincing Maraas (or was it Meraas? **** I don't know...) to fight with you.

I always play aggressive Hawke, he's just too badass. Kind Hawke is way too nice when it's uncalled for, he sounds like a complete wuss.

My favourite :
Andrers: 'I love you'
FHawke: 'Want a sandwich?'
When I played through this with my FemHawke, she didn't much care for Anders as she had recently been dropped by Fenris. So, when he dropped the "I love you" line, her response of "Want a sandwhich" was just perfect!
There may be many problems with DA:2 but some of the lines really made me LOL.

During my current (first) play-through, my Hawke is very aggressive, abrupt and to-the-point (which sometimes means the pointy ends of her daggers). However, she's been known to throw in the occasional sarcastic barb. Though... Her sister's recruitment into the Wardens seems to have stomped out whatever sense of humor she used to have. XD

Depends on situation, I like mixing the sarcastic and "good" dialogue in casual conversation, and being aggressive mid-combat or when loved ones are threatened...or being stupid.
It gives Hawke a nice, lighthearted, but still protective and impassioned feel.
A balanced personality.
