Hey weren't we supposed to be exposed to or hear about a new race in this game? I thought for sure there was some chatter about it back when DA2 was being developed. (Am I brain dead and getting DA2 and Mass Effect mixed up?)

You're right. There was some chatter about some race called the Fex I think.

Wiki quote...

"The Fex is the sentient, native species of Par Vollen. They have inhabited the island since before the Qunari invasion. Very little is known about them, and they are seldom seen outside of Par Vollen."

So the occupying Qunari took over the land from the native Fex eh? Just like them, but it's okay because (deep booming voice) "The Qun demands it"!

This is quite an interesting theory. Its obvious that the Primeval Thaig was meant to be more than just a Demon infested Thaig. It would be interesting if those dwarves were the cause of the Blight and Darkspawn with the Tevinters just being at the wrong place and wrong time with everything happening. You would think the Tevinters wouldve been wiped out than and there if the stories we are given are truly true. Remember when the Qunari invaded Thedas, the Chantry did the whole Divine March thing on them and drove them back to Par Vollen. One would think they wouldve done the same to the Tevinters if they truly did cause all the Blights and Darkspawn to come about.

Well, the Chantry/Andraste came a long way after the First Blight. Also, Andraste's goal was indeed to overthrow the Imperium. She failed and was burnt at the stake.

Well the Qunari were desperately running away from the Jade Empire, they needed a base somewhere.

Admit it that'd be the most epic BioWare crossover ever.

Are the Fog Warriors in Fenris's stories Fex then? This seem to contradict the idea that Humans came to Thedas from the same direction over the sea as the Qunari - which makes it reasonable to assume that the natives of Par Vollen and Seheron at the time of the Qunari Invasion should be humans.

Fog warriors are the natives of Seheron. So no.
