Anyone know if there is something specific that determines how much gold you end up with upon returning from the deep roads (assuming you were self-funded, and didn't take what's-his-name up on his investment offer)?
My first playthrough I recieved around 112 gold from as a rogue, and this time around a measly 72 as a mage. I think Sandal may have been skimming...

Did you buy things that you didn't before? If you invest 50 sovereigns then you will get back only 50. If you let the lone sharking dwarf pay the 50 you don't get anything cause he paid the 50. The rest of your supposed income was used to buy the Estate and whatever over the 3 years before act 1's end and Act 2's start.
