An animated movie should be interesting, at least it won't have the automatic high hopes as live action that they'll try to hype. I just hope it's better than the Halo Legends shorts, they were pretty bad.

Also agreed on the comic art, hope it's much better than that.

It's actually just an early rendition of it. When the artist put it out, everyone was saying, "Hey that's awesome, but what about ____!!"

Another anime? What ever happened to the Dragon Age anime??? if there's a Mass Effect based anime, I'm hoping it'll actually have a release date and will be about jack Harper (TIM).

DA:Anime is scheduled for release this year, it's apparently already in production.

Part of me hopes that both of these go the Musashi Gundoh route and are just amazingly bad to the point where they're instant classics.

I know it's stupid to start crying "they ruined this or that!" before you see the finished product, but I can't help but feel a little skeptical about this.

It's just that ME visual style is so far removed from anime...

Blame the executives & producers for restricting them to family friendly stuff
Both Airbender & Mass Effect are quite mature but don't have much gore

Honestly, I have higher hopes for this than the Mass Effect film. I've got no problems with anime, just never been much of a fan, either.

Where does Gundam fit into that? I mean sure, they've had some real psychedilic stuff, but nothing mindfooking like Evangelion. They did have some cool liquid metal shapeshifting aliens though.
