i have hit the silver dummy several times but the door wont open to the throne room,any ideas please

Hmmm, i cant remember what i do in that level now... but im sure when you remove some of the wardstones from their containers, some doors open.
Also there is the room with the statues - but i think that may have been for only opening the first two doors.

have you tried quicksaving and hitting all the dummies?

There is the dummies, there are also triggers in the carpeted room. You may also need wardstones. IIRC the dummies open other doors and the ward stones open the throne room. I could be wrong, it's been a while.
