So last night I was trying to browse SFX files and looked it up on the vault and found that the Power Bar plug in has SFX browsing.  So I downloaded it.

OH MY GOD! Why didn't I do this a year ago?

So if you are a builder, and haven't put it in yet becuase you are afraid of the unfamiliar, like me, go get it.  The ability to browse SFX and VFX alone are worth it.

Same here. The hide/unhide panels key bind would be enough to make this a must have.

I downloaded this over the weekend after hearing so much good about it, but alas, it doesn;t seem to work for me. Dunno why...

I have 1.23 of NWN2, and downloaded the appropriate version of the DLL here. Installed , but when I click on Plugins->PowerBar, I get a popup saying it's a codepoetz creation, but that's it. No new button bar anywhere. Help please?

Did you enable the toolset to allow other plugins? If not, go to View -> Options. On the window that opens, look under Security -> Allow Plugins and select "Load all Plugins" from the drop down box. By default it is set to only allow/load official plugins, not community made ones.

I did do that... I believe the plugin loads, since I get it listed under the Plugins menu option, and that when I click on it, I gt the pop up message window saying who created it, just not the actual button bar itself.

Power bar doesn't do anything when you click on it. It should just be active automatically. Do you have any other plugins? Sometimes they interfere with each other.

Imo easily the best toolset plugin made so far. I tried it out sometime 07 and never looked back.

Directly from the plugins installations, of which I did step by step:

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
--------------------

1. Copy the .dll file into your Neverwinter Nights 2 Toolset\\NWN2Toolset\\Plugins folder.
2. Open the Toolset. View the Options menu. Change Security->AllowPlugins: to "Load all plugins"
3. Exit the Toolset.
4. Open the Toolset.
5. Select menu Plugins->PowerBar.
6. A new toolbar with buttons appears. Press the buttons.

And yet there is no additional button bar anywhere... COuld it be hidden somewhere?

Did you try posting on the vault where you downloaded it? I'm not sure if the author is still checking, but it may be worth a shot. Sorry I couldn't help. I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

Yes I did, and also see a few other people who've asked the exact same question with no answer to any of them there.

Here are three images, the first showing the PowerBar menu, the second showing the PowerBar popup, then the third is the main screen itself, with no powerbar (afaict)...

I knew this was something like that.

I highlighted the powerbar for you. It also adds useful hotkeys in the toolset, I think the readme explains those.

The sneaky thing about it is once installed the menubar is there without having to do anything at all so there was nothing to see changing or appearing.

Among the many bonuses - my personal favourite things are the "Browse" - "Script" (which provides parameter viewing if a script is started with the powerbar "Script" button - "Area" which has 1 click baking.

edit: be careful with the "Browse" button it is a little buggy in that if you go too fast or click too fast it will crash the toolset.
