Any basic guides for modding DA2?

But I've got the GFF4 editor, opening dragon age files but the number of files is daunting. Also the variables on each column are not very clear since its all numbers. Is there a place where all column names are? And a list of what tables control what?
Otherwise its going to be a very long sit down to figure everything out.
Thanks.

Edit: You may want to check out the DA Builder Wiki for information on what the columns do in the gda files; while it focuses primarily on DAO, I'm going to assume that most of it applies to DA2 as well.

I found this that lets you go through the file hierarchy. Still a pain in the bum though.

Which files in particular are you wanting to edit? If you are wanting to edit gda files, I would suggest the latest version of GDApp, which has the column names listed in it now.

I want to create more skills, maybe change the difficulty settings for a start. Thanks forthe wiki link though, hopefully will give some guidance.

I'm working on a site to put these
basic tutorials all together as well as links to all tools needed in
editing DA2. I've put about 20 hours into the research and building of
the website but I am still working on it. My last couple posts (?'s
about modding and Am I missing any tools?) are directly related to
getting the necessary information needed before making the site
live.
Thank you good sir, I look forward to this resource.

if you are looking for the difficulty settings they are located in the difficulty.gda and these are the corresponding columns (Thanks to Restless Dreams for figuring this out)
Name - Column #
Friendly Fire - 5
ReactivChance - 12
TrapDamage - 15
ReactivLimit - 14
AIAbilityUsage - 18
EnemyHealth - 6
EnemyDamage - 7
EnemyArmor - 8

My list of modding tools just got its own sticky so hopefully my site will benefit from having my name out there as someone who is out to help the community.

huh? Column 5 has 0.33 for casual, going up for difficulties so cannot be FF as shouldn't appear until nightmare. However it is absolute 1.0 for nightmare, so maybe just gets ignored until then.
